My 4HWW Muse - What do you think

Hey all!

OK, so I started selling a few sites on a very popular website that you can list websites for sale on that starts with an "F.com" and sold a site for a $100 and am now inspired. Then while there, I happened upon a dropship website for sale that sold Jewelry. Because I'm supremely opportunistic (I've been told this right before I've been fired) and I read the 4 hour work week, I copied everything they did on this website for sale and created my own website selling jewelry Posh Mommy, Kera Beads, XOE, Wedding Bands, Necklaces and Bracelets - My Hidden Jewelry Box . Ok. So I got the exact same wholesaler, my Texas resale certificate, my DBA, my website, my e-commerce provider (Volusion) and much of my inventory online I'm waiting and don't know how to bring the sales in!!! I have a twitter, a Facebook, a squidoo, blogs, wikis and SEO. How do I make money?!?!?!?! I work in Internet Marketing but the very pure kind. Help clients build a website, do some social media, and some light SEO but until you are actually in their shoes you don't understand how important that almighty sale is.

I need some kind experts to help me make some sales. What can I do?

An affiliate program through Share a sale, will give you an organized way to have affiliates bring in sales for you. After your first month deposit its only $25 minimum monthly fee. Thats if the fees you pay on top of commission are less than that.

Send a Data Feed of your products to shopping comparison websites. (free traffic, from actual buyers)

4HWW also talks about split testing keywords. Actually he talks about testing before you do your site build. I guess since you code yourself, the site build is not that much of an investment.

Use highly converting low competition adwords to drive converting traffic to your site. Track through google analytics, test, tweak, test, tweak.......

Are you getting traffic that isn't converting? If so you may need to capture them into an opt in list so that you can market to them later on. Consider offering a free download for sign ups.

Am actually doing a lot of research on this very subject. PM me if you want the names of some books and video courses that I learned a lot from. I'm also a big fan of Tim Ferriss

Edit: Just went to your link, and realize you have an opt in. I didn't realize that you sold expensive jewelry. I think its going to take a lot more credibility, guarantees, and testimonials to get conversions, on those kinds of products. Tim Ferriss talks about finding a niche. It seems that your site is very general, and has a very big range of prices. Why not focus on $30-$200 peaces for examples?

@wizkidding you rock. thanks for your reply. I'll PM you tomorrow so we can discuss. Share a Sale sounds good. I looked into Shopwiki but not sure how that'll turnout. Split testing. Yes, I need to do that. I have about $400 in adwords credits built up but the times I've used it, it never paid off so I'm feeling a little gun shy.

I'm not necessarily a coder but I know my way around html and css so I have not made any investments into my site other than some sweat equity. I wish someone would tell me how I can build up my links though in a programmer sort of way.

I forgot to mention that I'm trying to do some marketing on ebay and FML! I sold my car on ebay in 2001 and that was the last time I was on and it's way too difficult now.

Anyway, I know there are ways to do this but I feel like I'm missing something here.

Through my e-commerce shopping cart I can allow affiliates to join and then start recommending my products. Does anyone know where I can find affiliates? Not like Clickbank but groups or something? I honestly doesn't know how to find them. I thought about finding mommy bloggers I like and just send them an email to get them to maybe mention us, but that seems a little weird and out of the blue. Anyone had any luck recruiting affiliates?

you never pm'd me. I wasn't going to try to sell you anything. I think that if you wanna get serious about e commerce and specifically drop shipping you should really think about the system you are creating, instead of figuring it out as you go along. i could be wrong though.

Are you looking for this to be a low maintenance business or just something to bring in extra cash now and then?
