17 Years old Starts a website developing speedier than Facebook

I just got inspired by a website I saw it's called Themultilife (themultilife.com). This website is 2 days old now and till now it has more than 1500 members and it has been shared for more than 3000 times on Facebook. What I really admire about it is that the website has been started by a 17 years old kid.

Maybe you've watched the movie "The Social Network" which is about Facebook. In that movie it is shown that Facebook got to a total of 900 members the first days but this website has gone up that point and has more than 1500 members now. Maybe you are thinking "What is this website all about that has got so many members that quick?" well, here is your answer:
The slogan which this website uses is as follows: "Themultilife helps you to tie contacts with people from all around the world using its unique features.
You just have to write in your language and we do the rest."
If I want to talk about it in detail, It is a Social Network for all languages. You just write in your own language and it gets translated to your friend's languge automatically. Your friends could have any language they want.
This story brings me back to the early days of Facebook. It was just a very simple website with no special abilities but the people who joined it, helped Facebook to become what it is right now.
I myself am going to join it and I think it will be the end of Facebook for me. I hope with joining this website and sharing it with my friends I will bring this website a step closer to what it wants to become, "A place for everyone regardless of his/her language to feel happiness and pain together."

Well, If the script for a Social Network is there why do you think he should bother writing the script again?? He had an idea and he made what he wanted to make. That's all. We shouldn't tell him he did wrong to use a pre written script.

The 17 year old has found a niche for his social network... who cares if he's using a script. If he gets traction, attracts venture capital.. he can get a 100 people who'll code it for him.
That's exactly right. I actually hope a 17 years old guy who is so innovative deserves to be a bit closer to Facebook.

I don't know why but the design reminds me to the first version of Facebook. The first version of Facebook was really bad in design and features. Way behind this website in features too. Everybody just had a simple profile page. There was no news feed.

It's great seeing younger individuals make their own sites and actually profit from it. Personally I think that's a great way to get your older children to make money for themselves. Like hey, want a job? Well try out some IM.

I'm a little surprised about the criticism in the thread. It's a clean, minimalist design (Google would like it). The creator has taken the first step that will be a life-lesson, regardless of whether this particular venture succeeds. I think the effort should be applauded, as many others here have.

As new as it is, who can judge it in it's current form. If the creator is serious, then he will obviously try to add new features and fix problems that people commonly complain about with facebook.

I think it would be very unfair to judge it's current value by comparing to facebook, which is now an established brand.

If this even begins to take off then Facebook will adopt the tech and his venture will dwindle.
