How to have a bulletproof mindset - one that can take anything and keep going

The benefits of such a mindset are obvious. To be able to keep going despite any setbacks. Here's my findings so far on doing it. I'd love to hear all of the other mind warrior's opinions as well.

Breakdown:
Stare reality in the face. Always replace what is in your head with reality. Most people do the opposite. They replace reality with what's in their head - no surprise that drives a person mad. :/

But also interpret reality favorably no matter what it is. Find some way to see what has happened as an advantage. Ultimately, reality is objective so, in my opinion, we might as well interpret it in a way that makes us stronger.

Remove yourself from rigid attachment to anything. Seneca put it well: "Only value what can never be taken away." By valuing personal growth, which ultimately leads to all ends, you are immune to any setbacks. because no matter what happens, you have learned.

Reading it is one thing. Internalizing it to the point of absolute habit is where the real magic happens, though. These ideas have worked for me. How about you? What has worked for you to help you keep going in your business and your life?

Excited to hear from you!

What's working for me its self-discipline and determination, I was very disorganized and can't get finish a task (or even care). Then I realized that I'm not going anywhere and was loosing my time, so I determined myself to write my goals and start figuring out what I need to make more money and to do something daily to get there.

By the way I must agree with you when you say that personal growth it's the lead to all end, I must have some kind of personal growth first to be develop self-confidence and determination.

I lost everything my home,my buz and my health.... Thank god the most important thing to me that I didn't lose was my beloved children. 8 years on and I have trained with buddhists monks at Samye Ling and met the Dalai Lama and trained to life coach with Tony robbins .... Walked on hot coals and am rebuilding my wealth one high quality article, one high quality blog at a time. I live with peace, energy and a disciplined mind.

I will trade my skills with anyone that looks at my blog and can help me make it outstanding and money making... I am a fantastic life coach, hard working and 48. I built a property company worth a fortune once upon a time and learnt about the huge effort and work that goes into building passive income... But once it's built and the money is generating then it's time to enjoy the fruits of your labour...

Hmmm I'm not sure I answered your question but the things I write on my blog might ...

Carolf - very inspiring to hear about your journey.

Dante - that quote by Seneca blew me away. I am posting on the wall right in front of me. Thanks so much for this.

Kaysa - I agree, it is all about daily action.

    Dante,

it took me a while back to really internalize what finding the positive within the negative. It was especially hard to do so during difficult times. Kind of know that there is a need and it is good to focus on the positive but we can't just help thinking about the negatives. But once I made the first step to make it a habit of looking for the positives and beauty in everything, it gradually become easier and helped me further in my journey in life and persisting for my business.

Something that strike me back then was, when we select apples in supermarket we focus on the good ones and choose them, ignoring the bad ones. But yet when it came to our own thoughts or things we say to ourselves or ways of looking at things, the not so good thoughts just kept staying. I kind of told myself to adopt the same attitude of selecting good apples as I would in a supermarket when it comes to looking at things too

Great post, I definitely agree with relinquishing rigid attachment to everything, if you're not afraid of ultimately losing thing then you don't have that fear niggling away in the background and prevent you from proceeding fully.

I use the 2 minute rule (which can scale with the seriousness of what's upsetting you). Let yourself get angry, upset, depressed, frustrated, angry, angry, angry...for 2 minutes, then get over it. A friend of mine used to say three simple words..."I'm over it" and with that - he was.

Let the emotions come, do their thing but never stay. If nothing else works, try to see if sleep can cleanse but 2 minutes usually does it.
