Can Deliberate Joyfulness help you achieve goals faster?

I am not talking about forcing yourself to feel joyful when your circumstances warrant otherwise. That doesn't work for most. What I am referring to is finding more things to do that give you greater joy. Also, letting joy be the objective at every point in the process rather than focusing just on achieving results. For eg. if you wanted to get to point C and you could go by path A or path B and if path A feels lighter and more joyful, then choosing path A. That means following your intuition.

The reason I am asking these questions is because these are the questions I asked when trying to achieve fitness and weight loss. I obtained amazing results in my own fitness after I was committed to finding fitness activities that I loved doing, that I wanted to do, I was self motivated to do (it was no longer a have to do or should do for me). That means I made joy at every point my #1 objective. I lost 4 inches of belly fat in 2 months when I was committed to doing things this way. Then I created a website on joyful fitness (follow link in my sig)

Then I decided to apply the same thinking to my other goals such as being wealthy. I haven't achieved that goal as yet, however I can tell you that I am very happy at the direction I am heading with this thinking.

A lot of this makes sense. Maria Montessori found a lot of inefficiencies in the process of educating kids and she created processes of "Joyful Learning" which were far more effective and joyful for teaching kids. These are being used in Montessori Schools throughout the world. Montessori is proven to be a very effective teaching system because it breaks education down and delivers it in a way that kids love to do it. I wanted to see if the same thing can be applied in several different directions. Read my blog and do the joy experiment if you are motivated by what I have written here and report your results back to me.

In my blog I am using words such as higher self (that is deliberately remaining joyful and being open to what your feelings are at every point whether path A or path B has greater light and joy for you) and am referencing the Bible and other spiritual traditions in a few places however the blog is non-religious and practical in nature. It can be applied by anyone of any religion or faith. Try it and let me know what you think. Thanks.

I think so , if there is joy in your heart you can deliberately do anything right and beneficial.

This is the way things happen. First you learn about pivoting as in Abraham-Hicks teachings. Whenever you are having negative thoughts you learn to find a better feeling thought. You keep pivoting, pivoting, pivoting, pivoting. You learn to always think a higher thought. Pretty soon what happens is you find you are always in this Joy Energy (Enthusiasm, Passion, Grace, Favor). It is ever present regardless of what you are doing. Then you find yourself doing your Major Life Work and everything coming to you to support you in that. Your boat is flowing downriver with the current rather than fighting the current. It is a lot more fun that way. This is effortless living. There are several posts on this forum on effortless living. Effortless doesn't mean no action. There is still action, but the action is with you flowing with the current. That means there is BIG Joy Energy supporting you in all your actions. That means you put in 1 part and the Big Joy Energy does 9 parts. This is hard to understand until you actually experience it. Watch the following video to understand this better. When my focus is always on enjoyment, I find I am very much connected to Spirit energy. I am in a high state of awareness, connected to the infinite source of creativity inside me, producing my best work, being very effective and efficient at what I do. I feel very abundant in this state and I know I am led by my intuition to the right things to do that create money also. So I would rather have my focus on Joy rather than money. I know I am well taken care of this way by the Universe or God, so I am not at all worried about money. This way of thinking has brought me some wonderful opportunities also and also some incredible people (relationships).

I also know the way the Universe works. When you are on a vortex of Joy energy, the Universe gives you more to be joyful about. This always works in my experience.

Lately, I have been doing almost everything with my focus on enjoyment. When I wanted to be fit and lose weight, I read that only 5% of people enjoy fitness. Most people quit. I knew that I have always quit in the past also. So I decided to make my fitness enjoyable. That was my primary objective to make it very enjoyable. I wanted a fitness program that I would enjoy and continue permanently. In the process, I have absolutely transformed fitness. I have become fitter now than at anytime in the past by following this strategy. See my Joyful Fitness fanpage by following the link in my sig.

Thanks so much for sharing...I definitely believe that Joy plays a part in affecting all aspects of our lives. I try to find something joyful in everything that I do, I believe having a positive outlook is extremely important. Of course, everyone experiences moments of frustration, but if you have a positive attitude and focus on joy and being grateful for what you already have, you will have an easier time moving past those feelings of frustration.

    Hello, Amita:

Yes, I believe that deliberate joyfulness can help us achieve our goals faster. Deliberate joyfulness puts us in a positive state of mind, and when we are in a positive state of mind we have more energy, more enthusiasm, more confidence and a much greater desire to succeed at what we are doing.

And the best part is, when we are deliberately joyful, we are happy in the moment and therefore less concerned about whether the outcome will achieve the desired goal at that moment, or not. We know we are giving it our best at that moment, and we know that if necessary, we can take another run at the goal another day and will eventually achieve it. No worries, no stress, everything in due time, and just enjoy the experience!

    Interesting topic!

I also agree that deliberate joyfulness can help you achieve your goals faster, but only because that is what life is all about. Being joyful is in itself a state of being, and not a conditional feeling only after achieving a goal. It is natural for everyone to have goals they want to achieve, but there you shouldn't put off feeling joyfulness until you achieve certain goals that you have, because you should still experience the best of life while on the journey

Absolutely! In my thinking after childhood most humans are forced to "grow up" and lose this state of playful, joyful, creative being. Joyfulness is not encouraged in our world. Everything is set up to make you serious like the others in the adult world. The best person who I learnt this from is the American Clown Doctor, Patch Adams. Robin Williams played him in the movie with the same name around a decade ago. Watch this youtube videos on the real Patch Adams and you'll get a kick out of them.

I discovered Joyfulness as a state of being around a couple years ago, but now am using it and developing it as a method to accomplish goals or anything in my own life. It is working for several people. Try it and see.

I see this as the ability to invent happiness when it seem to elude you. This works However,if you don't let your source of motivation die off. It's this drive that creates the happiness

The joyfulness I am talking about is naturally who we are. It is like a child playing. That is what my fanpage Joyful Fitness is all about. I recommend you see my link below to understand it better. The source of motivation will never die off. It grows and grows and grows once you experience it for yourself. This is who we are but we have forgotten our natural state of joy that we had when we were kids. We grew up. The work I am doing returns us back to that state.

      I have written above about
Joyful Learning - (created by Maria Montessori)
Joyful Medicine or Healing - (Dr. Patch Adams created this)
Joyful Fitness - (that is my fanpage)

Similarly, I believe that all human activities can be transformed like this by
introducing Joyfulness. I have created several sites on Joyful Living, Joyful Abundance and Creativity and more. See the link below for all of them.
You can use this method for your own goal, whatever you are working on.
The method came to me by Spiritual means and it will work for any goal and it is free.

I agree. People get in the mood for it and for success. Success is a mindset.

Guys, we are conducting an experiment on deliberate joyfulness. Come test this on any project of your own choosing if this sounds something of interest to you. It will only take a few minutes every day on top of the time spent on your project. It may just change your thinking and your life! http://www.warriorforum.com/mind-war...t-methods.html

You are so right. Most people have no clue what joy is and what it can do for their lives and whatever goals they want to achieve in life!
