My Goal: $100 per day by New Years Eve. Possible?

Hi guys,

I'm now working a temp job that gets me about 3k a month, but it terminates on New Years Eve. I'm working hard on a website that I will depend on full time once that expires.

I want to achieve a somewhat 'regular' income by then so I can start doing this fulltime, and give my loved ones a damn good present in one way or another. It won't be easy, and there's a good chance I won't make it by that time, but I'm not gonna give up on it, not yet.

I'll need your help. Anything motivational would be great for my morale. So far I haven't started shifting into traffic gathering hardcore yet, but it's gonna start real soon.

Thanks in advance for all the support you guys will give me.

  • Thanks for the post Strong.

Do you have a plan to achieve $100/Day by New Years eve? If so, it is very achievable.

I would suggest creating simple daily actions and take steps each day.

Also, does it excite you when think about the work that you have to do to create $100/Day by NYE. If so, you are on the right track. However, if it makes you feel tense or scared (not in a good way), I would suggest continue to work your plan to create $100/Day AND also work out a PLAN B, like getting another income to tide you over until you hit your number. If you do that and it your goal, then you are really cooking with gas.

    Good luck.

The most important part of your statement I believe , is that I will not quit, not yet. The rest is just the guidelines or fodder.

    Hey Stong,

Welcome to the forum! You're in a great place to receive internet marketing and motivational advice and support

Okay so now you have created in your mind what you want to achieve, the next step is to decide what it is you want to do, to be able to reach that goal.

A bit of mind mapping would be a great way to start, if you make a list of all the things that you are good at and all the things you are interested in. This will help eliminate what things you should set aside for now.

Take some time to have a browse on the forum, most of the questions you may have will already have been asked by someone else, start taking down notes. Stay clear of the WSO section until you actually know what you want to do otherwise you could be throwing money away and not taking action - a mistake I made when I first visited these forums.

Once you have a plan on what you want to do you need to consider how much time you can actually give to this and from that you will be able to write a daily/weekly and monthly action plan which can be your guide.

Working in IM can be a very lonely place, especially when family and friends don't really understand it so try and build up some contacts on here and similar forums. I have had such a boost speaking to members of WF on skype and via email.

If you believe that you can achieve it and you are willing to work for your dreams then it is indeed possible.

    Wishing you all the best.

      Emma

That is so true. My dream come true of working full time as an IM for myself was soon followed by the feeling of loneliness of sitting the entire day with little or no contact while working at home.

Im now a member here and making great connections, and it really helps....Im just saying its important to have good friends that are in the same industry as you...

    DEFINITELY Possible mate.

Now think how are you going to achieve your target ..

SEO is not really a good option as it won't get you $100 per day in 2 months (in most cases), so try to set up some campaigns on other type of free traffic. Try Facebook, Twitter ..

Hey guys, thanks for all the replies and encouragement, appreciate it.

@Justin: Yeah, I do have some sort of plan in place. I'm gonna write the highest quality articles I can and then syndicate them with the relevant ezines and newsletters in my niche. After that it'd be the good ol' opt-in and list-building. I'm pretty happy to say that since my last post, I've submitted one good article at Ezinearticles - not exactly a massive show of action, but I figure I'll do things well on the first run instead of going crazy trying every method out there and failing. One thing I have to do is to get an autoresponder up and working, though... will need to spend this weekend tweaking that and incorporating it to my website.

I love writing and I think I do a darn good job at it if I really go at it, so no worries there. The only uncertainty I have would be the possibility of hitting my target before the deadline, but I'm trying not to sweat it too much now.

@stopper: You're pretty much correct. Fun fact: I actually did a bit of IM about two years ago, when I was still getting my BA in university. I did the 'traditional' mass submission of articles and Squidoo landing pages and through some way or other, earned about $130 (excluding unpaid commisions by Clickbank that got eaten eventually). That first sale and check was a really cool moment, but I was swamped with schoolwork at the time so I made the decision to drop IM for the time being. If I had kept it going, just even a tiny bit every day, there's no telling what I'd have achieved now.

@Emma: Thanks for that. the Warrior Forum is an excellent place, but I've also come to the conclusion that spending too much time here is time better spent actually working on projects! Nevertheless I've learnt a whole lot of useful things since I've been here.

@ChartTraderz: Yep, kind of gave up on SEO and ranking in the SERPS because it's too much work for 15 minutes of fame (figuratively speaking) and I don't particularly enjoy writing articles for robots. I haven't really thought about doing Social Media yet; still seems pretty unfamiliar with me, but maybe I'll give it a try when I find the time to learn.

      Haha. Well said.

Though I do believe that more easily attainable goals are best to set at first and then once those are reached you can always aim higher.

Yes it is possible, bu you have to get high discipline and motivation.

"I love writing and I think I do a darn good job at it if I really go at it, so no worries there."

You can offer services like: writing articles, blog posts,
        BMr posts, bookmarking, etc.

But first you have to get a good plan and follow it.

Both of your replies have good points that I intend to follow.

$100/day before the New Year is somewhat of a challenge for me right now, because a) I am still considered a 'newbie' as I'm using a previously untried method with no clear path to success, b) I'm still bound to a 9 hour working shift daily, which leaves me much less time to work on IM in a productive manner, and c) the deadline is exactly three months away.

It's not impossible, but generating a sustainable, respectable income to make the jump to full-time within three months is to me, a pretty daunting task. :p

That was where I agree with whatihave's opinion. On the other hand, lenlatimer, I don't intend to stop at $100/day if I can help it. More is of course better; The '$100/day in 3 months' challenge is, for me, the bare minimum that I have to achieve. That said, thank you for reminding me not to call it and pack up once I reach it!

EDIT: Thanks for the advice, Jacko. I might look into that, but because my time is so limited now, I think I'd fare better by concentrating on my own website's development first. If I don't reach my goal before the New Year, offering writing services may be a way to supplement my income somewhat while I continue the work.

    - Have a plan in place for the next 90 days that sticks to one particular business model.

How many hours can you put in? I'm doing 6-10 hours a day for a goal of mine that I want to achieve by Jan 1st.

If you put in 10 hours daily for 90 days, you get 900 hours. 10,000 hours turns you into a genius at anything.

    - 100 hours to get the hang of it and notice some movements(results)

    - 400-500 hours (the hardest) you are turning results into skills

    - 1000 hours (You've built skills and not just results. Now you can recreate that result to a good extent without painful thinking and analysis by paralysis)...

    - 10000 hours - It's completely internalized and a part of your character. Therefore, the result flows naturally.

To reach your goal you need to know what you want to do. Make one good plan and start to follow it. It's not so hard to reach 100$ per day but in the same way it's not so easy. You need to be ready for this. When I start, 7 years ago I did not know from where to start and I did not have a plan. Good plan is more than 50% of your success. Keep motivated. Put some pictures in front oy your screen, pictrures of what you want in your life, your big dream and when you think you are loosing control, look at that pictures and tell to yourself:"Is it that what I want? Then keep moving"! I do that and it helps me. Think about your dreams, think to make them real. Never quit because only then you can fail.
Be smart and make money work for you and not you for the money. Don't think you get rich overnight because you will not but slowly you will.

Have you looked at providing services at fiverr, elance.com? If you are good at writing articles, I think elance.com is the best place to go.

Most of the writers there charge at least $10 per 500 words articles.

When you love to write and want to make $100 a day, you must learn to write for the Internet and that means for content and keywords, or nobody ever will find your work.

Or you may like to look into the direction of freelance writer, where you don't have to write for the Internet, but maybe writing for books or any other offline writing. My tip is check it out and see what you find and love.

I think it's entirely possible. the keys are tenacity and guidance. The biggest mistake I made when I started pursuing online income was giving up too soon on things and getting distracted. Find a strong mentor with a proven track record and follow their plan to the letter. My two cents as I am not at 100 per day, but on my way.

  • So, Strong. It is six days later. How are you doing? Do you have the same level of motivation? Are you still taking the same actions that you committed to originally? I encourage you to use this thread to report your wins and losses throughout the process.

I bet you will find that a lot of us are in your corner. I am taking on a similar challenge by NYE.
