"Taking Action (You Can't Lose) ..."

For many people (myself included) it can be difficult taking consistent action. However I’ve had something of a “realization.”

See, part of the reason we’re not taking action is because we have “flabby determination muscles.” And, because we haven’t been exercising them, they’ve become weak.

Here’s the good news:

When you’re starting from “0” (or not tacking action), everything you do from that point onwards is success. You literally have nothing to lose, because you’re starting from “0” and everything from then is an improvement.

Going back to our analogy, you wouldn’t expect to lift the heavy weights without first strengthening your muscles. The way to do that is to start off small and then keep making improvements (one step at a time) until you can lift anything.

I think the same principle applies to “IM.” You don’t have to do everything all at once: Just take it one step at the time until you’re taking enough action to make your goal(s) a reality. As the great Will Smith Said:

“Lay one brick at a time and soon you will have a house.”

So here’s my suggestion to you:

If you think you’re not taking enough action to feel good about yourself then decide that you’re going to do at least 1 thing every day. If you don’t have much time I recommend investing 1 hour every day working on your Internet business. Now you may not think an hour a day isn’t enough to accomplish anything. Well that one 1 hour accumulates to 9 forty hour weeks over the course of a year.

That’s what I’m going to do. I’m going to do at least 1 - 3 things every day.

I’ll leave you with an affirmation: “I am moving forward with my business.”

OK. Seems like another article that hasn't "connected" with anyone. Please, if you can, tell me where I'm going wrong with this article. (And others.)

    Tell me everthing.

    Cheers.

    I loved it.

I remember hearing the 9 forty hour week thing a few years ago, but completely forgot about it. It was just a few weeks ago I was trying to remember the exact figures.

And I think that "laying one brick at a time" is really the way to go. When I first started 2-ish years ago I used the same approach. Although it wasnt by choice, I just didnt really know where to start, so everytime I learnt something new, I applied it.

But it got me to the end. If I had tried to do everything at once I would no doubt given up. The amount of work involved in getting almost anything fully done is far beyond what you expect when you start.

Taking it slow aint so bad!

...you asked why your articles aren't connecting with
    anyone...

...but the real question is..."What is it are YOU doing
    wrong that's causing the disconnect?"

    John...

it's not that you're articles aren't connecting with peo
-ple...it's that you're not connecting with them.

Your topic choices are decent...but if you're going to
talk about what others have talked about hundreds of
    times before you...

the way you make it stand out is to add some flavor,
style, and more importantly - your own unique person
    -ality and spin to it.

The third mistake is that it *feels* like you're looking
for validation for YOUR work...instead of the opinions
of others...in the grand scheme of things...

people have better things to do with their time than
    feed your ego...

What you're asking for is *perfectly logical*...but it's
void of any real emotion...and the BEST thing you can
do is to ASK questions (one of the best, anyway)

If you want an emotional response and genuinly curious
    about others opinions...

take a back seat from *dictating* and ASK questions.

Instead of TELLING people how to take action...

wouldn't it be cool to discover different ways in which
    people take action for themselves?

Is not that a far more interesting thread?

...instead of hearing only yourself and what works for
you and confirmation of only YOUR way of doing things?

Finally, release the attachment for others to respond
    to you...

people can *smell it* a mile away.

If you don't get a response...who cares? Only you...

Forums are cool places...but there's far better things
you could do with your time than worry about getting
    ZERO responses.

By the way...the *only* reason I responded the way
I did is because YOU asked ME to...you asked a direct
    question...and I answered honestly...

had you simply said, "I'm not getting any responses...
    this sucks!" - I would have said...nothing. I would
have let you figure it out on your own...and eventually
    you would have...

but it's so much easier to get direct answers and solve
our problems when we are open to solving them and
    getting answers from other people...

    Can you see the pattern?

You're curiosity is what made ME respond to you...not
your initial thread...your SECOND post is more real to
me than your first...and that's the one I responded to
    naturally.

So, there you have it...keep posting your articles...
but if you can keep these tips in mind...they've always
helped me...even in selling products and marketing...

it's ALWAYS about the other person...not how much
    wisdom you have to share.

Thanks Ashley. Good to know that someone found it helpful. : )
      ...

      Hi Benjamin.

The reason why I asked the question is because I know that it's something I'm doing wrong which is causing the “disconnect.”

I suppose I could be looking for validation. However I definitely enjoy helping people and sharing what I've learned. : ) All that said, Thank You for your advice. I'm going to remember to try and inject more
      “personality.” Etc.

      ...

      Hi SkyJoe.

Many thanks. Again, I'll think of how to add more personality. And, I'll definitely remember to include more personal experience.

      Cheers.

      P.S.
Do you think it could be people don't think I “practice what I preach” and am not experienced in the advice?

My feel is your article has no personality, no human behind it.

It feels like you are taking pointers here and there, combine them, then publish them.
Where are you in the article? What your experience is likes?

This is more like a reminder because millions of people have talk about this. This is just another article about doing things one step as a time.

You may consider questions like, what's your view on this theory? What experience can you share regarding to this theory? You haven't talk much about yourself in this article. How about having more of you?

I can generate an article in 30 mins to publish it. But it'll not be up to my standard. So I took hours to write an article before publishing.
