Update: The 30hr bus journey DID give me motivation! Read why!!

Hey all,

I can motivate myself when it comes to doing work for others but when it comes to myself I have a start, stop, stop, do something else, start a bit and stop attitude!!

Well now I have a 30hr bus journey to contend with, so I have gone out and bought myself a pen and notebook and I intend to sit down and write my first WSO - which has been in my head for about a month! I will have no distractions from the internet or friends so hoping this will be the kick up the bum I need!

I am seeing the silver lining to the long bus journey and it symbolizes an end of something (my South American journey) and the start of something good (my New Zealand adventure) and a great WSO.

Wish me luck and send me positive vibes if you can.

Hoping you all have a great day

Emma

Good luck! We all need to take action. I'm in the same boat but spend each day taking care of things that are building out my opportunities. I don't wanna close off opportunities to build relationships with people but I also know how important it is to sit down and work. It's all about balance.

Feel free to let me know when you're done with the WSO. I'd love to check it out!

    Hi Emma

Congrats on taking action! What's your wso going to be about? I'm looking forward to it

Your problem seems to be productivity and focus, something that affects a lot of people, so I suggest some goal-setting (must be measurable), planning and time-tracking will help you a lot. I know that my income has gone up since I focused more on productivity.

  • Thats inspiring. What a great opportunity to get our first WSO down on paper. I have struggled with the same concern in the past. When I have somebody else holding me accountable, I tend to have more success than when I am holding myself accountable.

It's great that you have taken a step to move...to take action !

I hope that whatever it is you have worked out of, you'll find pleasure and success in it. Just keep moving forward and widen your dreams even if a lot of road blocks will come your way.

Never give up! Keep the faith!

Thanks for all the positive posts guys, they have really given me an boost!!

Well I've conquered the 31 hr (they sneaked an extra hour in when I was sleeping I guess) bus journey and it was a success. The journey wasn't that horrendous and I managed to write down the 1st draft to my report AND drafts to 2 other bonus reports!

During the journey I also managed to listen to some Rhonda Byrne 'The Power' do a meditation, sleep, eat (lots), drink (not as much - going to the toilet on a bus isn't that fun), read an entire book 'One Day', get my bags searched and go through an x-ray type machine - so a very eventful journey.

I feel really great and can actually see light at the end of the tunnel.

AshR and Kyle, once I've completed I'd love for you to have a look at it. It's aimed at complete newbies and partly a personal case study.

Hope you have all been well.
