I Now Have 44,000+ Facebook Fans/Likes!

It's only been a few months since I started testing out Facebook and I now have about 15 different fan pages that I am using to generate traffic to my websites, it's actually quite outstanding and I can't wait to get more statistics so I have more proof of how helpful it is.

Of my 15 Facebook pages, all of them have above 2,000 fans each.

However, I have 2 fan pages that exceed 10,000 likes.

I'm excited to share these statistics because I feel it can be motivating for others.

The efforts put into this are very minimal and only require me to post a single status update everyday. I have yet to try and monetize the market, but seeing as it involves minimal work, it's not important to me yet.

You can see almost all of the 44,000 fans are active and participate at least once a month which is just fantastic:

Whenever I post something on the Facebook page and one of the "subscribers" ends up clicking the like button, comments, and so forth, it shows up on their wall to all of their friends.

You can see a majority of my fans (more than 50%) are from the United States and roughly everyone speaks english, which makes it very easy to communicate.

The stats are behind by just a tiny bit and the page TODAY now has 44,335 likes. So growth is very simple and I haven't really put much effort into it.

So as you can see these stats are legit, I'm not screwing around. But here's the potential for all of this.

I have since hired 4 content writers from the Facebook page that now write content for my websites related to the topic, absolutely free. Since they have interest in the niche, it's very easy to find writers that don't mind putting their efforts into my business without compensation, they just want recognition and they receive it.

The way I did this was simple. I signed up with WuFoo, created a simple form, and just shared it to the Facebook page. I received more than 150 applicants that were willing to work for FREE. It's really cool, I talked to a lot of wonderful people and now I don't even need a content writer for the niche sites, because they are willing to do it for me. And they aren't losing out because they get recognition

Anyways, I just thought this was an awesome thing and I wanted to share it with the Mind Warriors so you all know that success is achievable, you just have to take action.

I will most likely end up sharing my methods later, but right now I want to keep testing.

Don't waste your money on crap Facebook like services, that stuff is a waste of time, scammy, and you are cheating the system to a point where you'll likely be screwing yourself over anyways.

Do EVERYTHING online the legitimate way and you'll achieve much more success's. These are of course my views and opinions, but they work for me, so that's what I teach.

I simply update the page once a day. Sometimes I get hyped now and update it 3 times, but other than that, I do no promotion for it now and simply let other people find it.

      No problem

I have about 4 fan pages related to the exact same niche, all with over 3,000 fans, so I would guess it's okay, but you have to read their terms of service as I don't want to misinform you.

Well if you think about it. The word "social" pretty much express's "traffic".

The only way you can get traffic is from people. And since people relate to "social" then it's bound to give you a good idea on the fact that traffic an be driven from these sources.

        Glad you liked it

EDIT: I also just created a new Facebook page, with no money spent, just found out the interests of my current target market and that page has over 200 fans in the last hour. Maybe nothing huge, but if you compare this to subscription lists, it's pretty big.

Think of it this way, now that I have the fans, I am able to test out different strategies, see what the groups interests are, find out what target markets I'm looking at and so forth.

So if I had a fan page relating to motorcycles (which I do because it's one of my hobbies), I would ask a question like:

What is your favorite brand of helmet?
      • Arai
      • Shoei
      • KBC
      • Bell
      • Scorpion

I would then be able to see what my target market is more interested in. If they are interested primarily in Shoei and Arai helmets, I would then focus my niche websites that are dedicated to them towards promoting them and writing posts relating to them.

There are many other possibilities too.

I am able to see that out of 44,000 fans, about 26,000 of them are fans of something else. I can then combine these 2 in advertising to see if it has a greater effect, similar to this advertisement a while back:

Again, the possiblities are limitless and I'm able to get a social impact on the niche websites relating to the specific fan pages.

I posted up an article 2 days ago (which by the way a fan wrote for me FOR FREE ), that article now has over 1,300 Facebook likes, 60 comments, and tons of shares.

So in the end, just acquiring the fans is all I need. Now I can sit back, do case studies, work with the niche market and find out what interests them and then have my own fans write the content for the websites.

P.S. I posted something recently on the fan page in question here and asked if people wanted to write for a niche website. I received over 150 applications in about a day and hired on 3 writers absolutely free. No cost. And they are okay with it because they have major interest in the niches. Hope that gives you some insight

So let me see if I understand properly. You built these pages yourself (or had them done for free?), and NO paid advertising? So you just used a sig link in emails and forums, blog commenting, etc. No paid promotions? If so, that's not only impressive, but inspiring as well. Maybe you could tell us the best 1 or 2 ways to promote our fanpages?

I did test out a monetization method with Peerfly recently.

From the total people whom saw the CPA lead, I received a 9.0% conversion so far. It's nothing amazing (around $1 per conversion) but it made me about $32 yesterday with less than a few minutes of work.

I'm not going to hardcore monetize it right now, but in the future it could be extremely profitable.

      Here are 2 different techniques.

      Ad campaign.

If you are running an ad campaign, make sure the page title is simple. Don't use a business name as the page title. Instead use something like "P90X Fans" or "I Love Food".

Then have the description set to something like this:

Press "Like" if you like P90x.

      or

Press "Like" if you love food!

      Commenting

This is where a majority of my fans come from. I simply communicate with my list on a daily basis about 2-3 times a day. It takes less than 5 minutes of my time and it's very easy. I just share information, allow fans to communicate with one another and every once in a while I pop into the conversation.

People like knowing that there is a real person behind something.

      Hope that helps

The "official page" for the product receives 6,000 people talking about it (that's with 175,000+ fans).

My "unofficial page" receives 7,100+ talking about it (that's with 47,000+ fans).

Not huge stats, but I make consistent revenue + receive tons of visitors to my websites and have an autoresponder of almost 1,400 now.

That is exceptional. With the new Google rules and pages getting that much activity, you should be able to "rule" when in comes to making money online just with these.

I don't like direct linking my fans to an offer. So instead I get them to jump through a loop by first voting on a WuFoo form that then redirects them to the offer.

This way I'm pre qualifying my fans by seeing who's actually interested in the offer via the poll.

Hope that helps you understand it a little better

    Justin

HI Justin - Kudos for your results so far. Good to see, and great info already shared on this post...

Now -- I may have missed it, but don't think so; the one thing that you seem to have "missed" is what it COST YOU in actual $$ to generate those fans.

You've shared, time and other simple strategies, but I'm sure a lot of the people where would like to know how much actual "out of pocket" investment it cost you.

I mean.... anyone can generate enough subs with enough $$, but how about you?

    Paul Barrs

PS. Tried to signup for your report... got this totally bizarre error message...

"The change you wanted was rejected.

Maybe you tried to change something you didn't have access to."

Ummm. Lost. I *did* change my timezone because I'm like.... in a different time zone (and why do you need to know timezone for a free report??)

Great question and I'll be short so people see the answer.

      I spent a little more than $250 cash + a $100 facebook coupon. So $350 invested.

That acquired my first 36,000 fans of which averaged out to a little less than $0.01 per fan.

When there is a bit of new information for the page, I am going to start spending more money as I stopped after the initial $350.

Since then the page has gained 15,000+ fans (it's at 51,000+ fans now) organically/naturally from people sharing, liking, and so forth.

If I didn't want to invest another dime into it, I don't have to. It will continue to grow organically just from me being active. Similar to that of a website that people follow.

Provide good information, adhere to what your fans want, and you'll do well.

Now here's the deal.. (sorry I suck at being short).

The same page will hit 250,000+ by the end of this year.

Consider I have posted single status updates that have profited $100+ with less than 50,000 fans. That means if I were to do the same, it could equal $500+.

BUT this is only possible because I am doing things in a legitimate fashion and giving people what they want.

      There ya go.

Thanks Justin, I am inspired to try this but I am having trouble figuring out how you got facebook to allow you to have such a low bid amount that it got a few thousand fans with only $250. Do you have any tips or tricks on this? In my experience I always have to pay at least 40 cents per click even for a sponsored like story.
Also, where do you get those facebook ad coupons?
        Thanks

Here's a few tips (which I have expressed before).
          • Find an audience of 50,000 - 200,000 or more.
          • Create an ad for that audience that will grab their attention.
          • Use quantcast, alexa, google trends, google insights, etc.
          • Study your audience (briefly if you want to do what I do)
          • Pay for impressions and pay for the lowest suggested amount + $0.01
          • If you don't get $0.01 clicks, try to increase your CTR. The higher your CTR, the lower the cost.
          • Still not getting $0.01 clicks or no where close after testing? Try another more broad niche. Or even a more targeted niche.

That's a simple strategy that works

          To your utmost success.

May be it would be more interesting if you could add some section on this post to tell us how you went ahead to get these fans. I would like to learn about your steps to getting sucg big numbers of genuine fans.

    It would motivate us more.

Just wanted to say Thanks Justin, I created my niche page yesterday and with only $9 in advertising I now have 71 fans. I really, really hope to hit 1000 in one month. So far people that joined are participating and sharing photos and stories which is probably the greatest thing that could happen to the page.
One question, Where do you guys find the facebook ad coupons?

The Facebook ad coupons are offered by different venues. At one point GoDaddy offered them. And also Facebook offers them here and there.

As for the fans, great job

Keep up the excellent work and try your hardest to get your CTR higher.

The higher your CTR, the less money you'll spend.

Increasing you CTR from 0.1% to 0.2% could mean spending $0.10 to spending only $0.05, which is a big deal.

Good luck on your venture and never give up on your dreams.

      Good luck in your ventures.

Remember more than anything to take action.

I know you probably hear it a lot, but I mean it.

If you want to succeed at Facebook, go out there right now and create a Facebook page. Who cares if you don't succeed right off the bat? The point is, you're trying.

Motivation is key too. Make sure you're in the mood to take action. When it's on your mind, go do it.
