Occupy Wall Street, Poverty Consciousness, and the Law of Attraction

Aren't these guys who blame the government for all of their problems, demand self-bailouts, and hate the rich (while identifying themselves as members of the bottom 99%) really attracting poverty into their own lives?

What do all you fans of Covey, Chopra, Maltz, Robbins, Dale Carnegie, the Secret, and Napoleon Hill think?

I think there does need to be more accountability, but yes you are correct in my opinion.

Lately, I've been thinking that every problem that exists on a national level, I can see in my own life on a smaller scale. Wishing, blaming others, not really self educated, easily distracted and no focus, not taking action or even facing the problems head-on.

    Great thread.

What's 'attracting' poverty into their lives is their unwillingness to work or do something constructive.

(I had to add 'do something constructive' because I have a huge unwillingness to do work. That's why I got into IM. :rolleyes

To some extent they are attracting poverty. But you can't blame them. That's how the system works anyway.

Consider yourself blessed if you think that you can't change your reality and don't need to blame the goverment for your problems.

I definitely agree..as someone that I was talking to about Occupy Wall Street with said, if you have enough time to sit outside and complain for 2 weeks straight, you don't deserve a job. If you're unemployed finding a job should be in itself a full time job.
