Occupy Wallstreet is a noble endeavor; another one is to Occupy Selfstreet.

Take a stand and say:
-I will not take any more self pity and frustration.

-I will not listen to my obstacles and disempowering voices in my head.

-I will fulfill my dreams and fulfill my life, and I will make a difference in the people I come in contact with
.

I agree, it is an admirable endeavor, however what I think is more admirable is to stop asking for changes and resolve make changes within yourself, that can help you to become 'immune' from the greedy and selfish acts of others

    Hello,

I am planning to go Occupy Amsterdam tomorrow, mind if I take this with me and discuss this with people on location? Will be taped, and uploaded for a blog I run.

Would be nice to get a lot of different people, discussing this wisdom

    Let me know!

I like the Ghandi quote, "Be the change you wish to make in the world". Also,

I agree. It is important to take responsibility for your actions. Do not rely on anyone else to provide you with success.

I like your statement that you will make a difference with the people you come in contact with. Sometimes we don't realize how one small act of gratitude can return us a fulfillment tenfold.

      Thanks for posting.

So true. I always liken it to:

    Just freakin' DO IT.

Take ownership of both your successes and failures....just make things *happen*.

Don't wait around for others to make it happen for you.

Occupy Wall street is not a noble endeavor, it's misguided! The true problem is NOT with Wall Street, but with the government parties that gave them the money!

If someone offered you millions of dollars would you turn it down? I don't think so; it was the government that gave Wall Street the money. Granted, maybe lobbyist asked, or begged, for the money, but in the end it was corrupted politicians (from ALL sides) that gave Wall Street the money!

The place all these people should be is in Washington!

Plus the overall message coming out of these "occupy" demonstrations is the end of Capitalism and the promotion for socialism or communism; both of which have NEVER worked!!! The only people that make out in either of those governments are the leaders.

It is a good start what they do...because it brings alot of attention!

All over the World Millions protesting against the Systems...and it helps because people start to understand that they can do something!

Its not important where they started it...it will affect politics anyway because when they grow politicans have to listen!

    This is a great post!

Allow me to focus on the cause of the collapse of the mortgage and real estate industry.

All parties share proportionate blame for the economic recession.

All the parties involved, Wall Street, the govt. who recklessly promoted homeownership that led to lax underwriting standards, mortgage brokers, loan officers, home buyers, home sellers, credit rating agencies, SEC, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, mortgage industry lobby, real estate lobby, Greenspan who kep. rate low, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Bank of America, Countrywide, politicians who took political contributions/money from these institutions, etc., each share proportionate blame.

Please note that since the govt. (who promoted home ownership that led to lax underwriting standars) knew what was happening but did not regulate the mortgage industry, the govt. takes on a proportionate bigger share of the blame. As such, its agencies (SEC, congressional and Senate regulating committees, elected officials, etc.). The lack of regulation was downright an OUTRAGE OF THE HIGHEST ORDER.

I should know. I worked in the mortgage industry, my company shut down and I lost my job.

We are the system. We allow it to continue. Protesting doesn't really get anything done. I agree with those who say, be your own change in your own world.

    Have a Happy Halloween everyone!

While they are protesting in the streets... I'm working at home improving my life, my kids, my family and bringing value to people around me.

While they are trowing rocks to the Police... I wonder how many of them are in fact TRYING to improve their future?

Most of the wall street protesters are actually being paid by left groups. So, it's a real job.
