Shooting for the Moon isn't Always Best

... and I mean this in the lightest sense possible.

Let me elaborate.

A couple of things often happen when you first start out in this business of Internet Marketing:

1 - You slowly become way too overwhelmed and eventually throw your hands up in the air. So... you give up.

OR

2 - You become so excited about the possibilities that you start out too big in the beginning... you shoot for the moon right away.

I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with shooting for the moon. In fact, keep your big dreams and goals in sight, but take the time and due diligence to accomplish the smaller (and usually more attainable) successes first.

See, that's what happened when I first started. I started out so excited that I went for the bigger websites first. I thought I could create the next Amazon (ok, not really... but my point is that I went way too broad too early in the game for me). Had I started out with a more narrowed focus, I'll bet that I would have achieved success a LOT faster.

Baby steps are not always that bad. Find your little successes first... by starting out small. Take the time to learn all of the important steps, no matter how small those steps may seem. They actually do play an important role for when you start going bigger.

When you finally have the knowledge, expertise, and confidence to go for something even bigger, you will probably find a lot of pride and appreciation in your teeny tiny sites that got you there.

Thanks for sharing! It's precisely what I needed to read. I've been through both of those experiences and I realize I was about to do it again LOL

Baby steps definitely feel easier to do!
