Are my service prices decent?

I started offering a service on WF (link in signature) 5 days ago. So far a few people have shown interest, but nothing serious for now.

I wanted to ask the veteran community of warriors about the price - is it too low or just about right? I'm a beginner and I've never offered services before so I thought I couldn't compete with the pros who take $100 or more for the same thing.

Plus, for 30-45 minutes of work, out of which 10 are for uploading all the files, I don't think it should cost more than twenty-thirty bucks

Another worry of mine is about the paid hosting and domain names. I've purchased them before and that's not the case. The problem is - if I offer them paid domain/hosting, they have to buy that themselves because it's a recurring bill and if I register it on my name with my credit card info, it's gonna charge me

This is why I think most people would prefer to pay twice or even three times more for a smooth, professional installation by an automated service.

I'm trying to attract people on forums and especially people from WF so I wanted to ask in the right spot - do you think my prices are decent?

You are offering something standard. For me you should go one step before the others, and offer something more. I don't know? maybe if you know something about graphics you can offer banners to that websites? Maybe you can write some articles?

I think you are underpricing yourself a little..Do not be ashamed to charge slightly more - provided you offer quality to your buyers/clients..

I think it is a good service at a great price but I believe where you are lacking is in the sales copy or I should say, lack of sales copy. It doesn't have a impactful message.

What is the problem you are solving for people? Why would they even want you to do a wordpress page for them, the benefits and how do you solve their problems?

I think with a more impactful sales page and a more impactful tagline in your sig, you should get a lot more interest and sign ups.

    :-)

Alright, I've worked quite a lot on it for the past hour and even I am starting to like it already. It went from a dry description to a more friendlier invitation with lots more to offer (incl. private coaching) and nothing to lose.

I guess you're right. I should earn some trust but it's difficult when you don't know anybody. I really need people to give me positive feedback and I'm determined to provide my best quality and also keep in touch with my clients if they need me to touch something on the website in a future point.

I guess it's instinctive to not trust the new guy at first, but I have nothing to hide or be afraid of. I might be green but I won't stop growing and improving my quality and offers until I am worthy and appreciated enough by pleased customers.

You need to affiliate with a hosting provider and domain registrar, or get a reseller account of your own.

This way you can make $$ from them purchasing hosting, and you won't feel like you are making so little (unless that's great to you of course)

Join Commission Junction, signup with HostGator or LiquidWeb's affiliate program, use their affiliate links when you tell clients to register.

You'll make anywhere from $50 to $100 in my experience per signup.

I don't exactly understand what you are offering here, but if you notice most subscribers end up getting hosting, you can lower the prices.

Most people try to overcharge for their efforts.. and I find it inappropriate.

There are website creation services out there that charge $1000+ just for basic wordpress installs and a few other additional features... sad right?

After offering my own services, at the end of the day, I only make about $30, even though I charge almost $150.

I don't think you should be able to charge above a certain limit. Even if it's because you have the knowledge.

    Be realistic.

There are REAL people you are taking money from.

If you are charging for example, $50, for an action that takes 5 minutes. Why not instead just teach people that action and then dedicate your time and other peoples money towards something more worthwhile.

    These are just my opinions

Again, don't' know exactly what your product is, but make sure you are reasonable. Not only on the Warrior Forum, but in everything you do.

I agree with Justin, maybe not always, but sometimes we should give something to people - in my experience it always gets back double
