Your Thinking Voice = Your Life?

This just crossed my mind today. What if we could change our thinking voice? You know, change its intonation, color, tempo... or even change it completely?

Is it possible to convert your thinking voice into the voice of say... Morgan Freeman?

We can all do it short-term, but could we change it to forever stay that way?

If we could eventually accomplish this, would this mean a complete self-image reconstruction as well? Would it lead to a different kind of thinking, different personality, different actions, results? Could changing the voice inside your head lead to changing your life?

Something to ponder...

Um, have you tried this yourself? It is an interesting concept to say the least. For motivation, how about the Dali Lama?

I haven't tried changing my thinking voice permanently yet, for 2 main reasons:

        - First, I wanted to discuss this with other people, see if anyone can link to a related article about this, see if anyone knows about this already... If so, does it work or not?

        - Secondly, I don't want to develop schizophrenia or something :S Think about it, what if your thinking voice really changed into... let's say somebody else's voice... I'm 99% positive this would mean a huge shift in the self-image as well. If it works, this could perhaps be the fastest way to cure hundreds of psychological illnesses, it could also be used to become any kind of person you want to become.

Besides, your thinking voice already changed throughout your life, didn't it? I'm sure you don't hear a child's voice when you think. Your thoughts sound exactly the way you speak right now.

The big question is - Can we think with a voice that is different from our speech voice?
