Chad Rissanen's "5 Reasons Why You're Not Getting What You Want"

Hi Warriors!

I've found from coaching thousands of people personally that there are usually about 5 key things that are holding anybody back.

I've also posted a video to go along with this list. It's only 3 minutes, and no opt-in or anything like that. I just felt like making a video to help emphasize some of these key points.

Go watch the video at the link below:
http://www.WayTo100k.com/5SpecificReasons

Feel free to add to these, so it becomes a definative list.

"5 Specific Reasons Why You’re Not Getting What You Want"

#1 Thing Holding You Back: Yourself

Problem: Most people are standing in the way of their own success. “I was going to get started with this but…”

Solution: You have to get yourself out of the way. Get your ‘but’ out of the way.

#2 Thing Holding You Back: Excusitis

Problem: There’s always a reason why they can’t do something. There’s always a reason why they’re not where they think they should be.

Solution: Excusitis is a disease you need to get rid of. Start doing instead of giving excuses for not doing

#3 Thing Holding You Back: Perfectionism

Problem: People spend hours, days, weeks, months on something trying to make it perfect, to the point of not getting it out there and marketing it.

Solution: When you’re just getting started, you don’t have to get it right, just get it going. It doesn’t have to be perfect, just take action.

#4 Thing Holding You Back: Analysis Paralysis

Problem: People over-analyze to the point of not taking action

Solution: Don’t be afraid of mistakes. Do something and watch what happens

#5 Thing Holding You Back: Procrastination

Problem: People don’t do anything until it becomes a crisis. “Why do today what we can put off til tomorrow?”

Solution: Prioritize the things that you're doing. Analyze what it is you're doing everyday, and ask yourself, "Why am I doing this?" Don't just do what you're comfortable doing. Do what will have the greatest impact on the growth of your business.

So there's my 5 tips for you. Hope they help you out, hope you enjoyed them. I welcome your feedback and encourage you to leave your comments or add to this list.

Thanks,
Chad Rissanen

I like your post Chad. #1 and #4 are me. The more I learn about myself the more that I am amazed at how many games I will play with myself, many unwittingly.

I don't like to waste time or end up being a total failure, so #4 can be an issues. I'll analyze the living hell out of things so that I can figure out the best path to take in order to be as efficient and mistake-free as is possible.

The bottom line for me: just do it and let go of the outcome!

      Hey Dan,

If you find yourself being over analytical one thing you can try is to talk out the worse case scenario to yourself. Most times you'll find nothing really bad will happen and it would be better just to push forward Its so easy to beat ourselves up and come up with reasons not to take immediate action. I use this technique and it works for me.

All five have applied to me at different times. Lately it has been #4. I did need to spend a lot of time researching until I was capable of moving to the next step. However, I think I overdid it and could have moved forward much sooner.

I'm now using the stuff I've learned over the last two years to make real improvements in my business. Now that I'm using the information on a daily basis I'm continuing to learn even though I'm not spending as much time "in the classroom."

This is fantastic that you came to the realization that you were over analyzing. Remember, it doesn't have to be perfect just get things going
and once you do this a couple times it gets so much easier!

I see these in my dad. It's a shame since he's such a talented sales man. If only he didn't get screwed over.

I think we all know someone who is just not getting what they deserve. As humans we have that moral obligation in us that wants to help others. With that said...sometime's we can want it more for others than they want it for themselves.

Thanks for share, all the things mentioned have something to do with you and your inability to make decisions and act upon them...

For me #3 and #4 are particularly applicable. I've noticed that they're kind of related. I over analyze at times because of my Perfectionist attitude of maximum efficiency. I like to ensure everything is running at top potential to the point that I don't take action for long periods of time while I plan things out in painful detail.

Hopefully, if I keep reminding myself of this, it'll shift and I'll get a little better at stopping this from happening.

"TAKE ACTION" is the first thing everyone tells you and then they leave it at that. I'll add a second part: TRACK EVERYTHING" - It's the only way to ensure your ACTION leads to results.

Hey Eric, I think these traits you have are awesome and are a part of your personality. We all have what are called " Natural Inclinations" things that we do naturally. I think something that would help you out would be to talk out the worse case scenario to yourself and come to the realization that...even your worst stuff would still probably crush it!

Almost did not read this post because i would rather be reading WHY I AM GOING TO GET what I want RATHER than Why I am not getting what i want .

We can see pretty from the list of 5 that nothing is new .People still procrastinate , people are still perfectionist and on and on . I think that we as people are divided .There is a part in all of us that wants to go for what we truly want but there is another part is not prepared to take risk and wants things to remain the same

I think I suffer from Excusitis. Lol. I think that's what I struggle with the most. I always believe that they're valid and should "excuse" me from what I haven't done. But ultimately, it is destructive thanks for the list!

These are fantastic perceptions Chad! Thanks!

I'd like to add a few because I think there are important too!

The main one I would like to add is: INFORMATION OVERLOAD!

I think this adds greatly to your #1 of having TOO MANY EXCUSES!

The mind can't go forward when there is SELF-DOUBT or CONFUSION!

There is also the problem of DISBELIEF!

That's why if you land on a sales page that says "Earn A Gazillion $$$ In 3 Days!" Even if you see a video of the guys' Clickbank account or ten video testimonials the mind starts to ask: "How is this possible?"

Generally, if this question can't be answered within about 10 seconds we tend to move on rather than get scammed. This is a "built-in self-protection mechanism".

People will almost always move forward if they can easily "COMPREHEND A STEP-BY-STEP METHOD" that is simple to implement. All too often I see "COMPLICATED SCHEMES" that cannot be DUPLICATED.

DUPLICATION is what makes success possible. If we can find methods that are easy to comprehend and easy to implement, that's the time that we move forward and overcome INFORMATION OVERLOAD.

That's my 2 cents worth and I hope this makes sense and does not offend anyone!
