What Did You Really Do Well In 2011?

Now that we're on the last steps of 2011, looking back, what did you do well in the past year? And what are you looking forward to in 2012?

Come on, give yourself a pat on the back.

For example, I managed to persist through outsourcing disappointments and Joint Venture let downs.

I checked off my last 2011 Goal to-do-list entry 5 weeks early.

I look forward to building on the solid foundation I set in 2011. And to serving my target customers with more intensity and fervor.

I think what I did well in this past year was focus and reach important milestones in my joint venture. I, too, look forward to building on our current foundation in 2012, where I know my ultimate goals and milestones will be achieved from the hardwork put forth so far in 2011.

Thanks! I'm obviously in this venture with Justin Lewis who is the main brain behind it all, but we do well together, and I personally love providing a service of help to others.

Hi, Niche Man! One of my biggest successes this year was producing my first e-book from start to finish. Also, I transitioned my two blogs from free to self-hosted wordpress blogs. Just those two things alone have made a huge difference in this marathon called internet marketing

I taught myself how to do it, and I am still loving the process.

It always gets my attention when somenone attempts and actually finishes an ebook. That's something that tells me a lot about a person. Their ability to focus, persist and follow-through despite all the possible distractions. Congrats to you.

Great job! It sounds like the ebook you wrote for the client was something that client hired you to do? How did you negotiate the selling price?

I started writing articles over a year ago and recently found the plan I had written back then. I'm very proud of what I've achieved too.

My goal was to get some good clients and make x amount of money each day, build a couple of WP blogs and basically that was it!

Today I have five awesome clients that send me regular work, my blogs are making some money - not a lot but it's a start - AND I just published my first eBook.

I've done better than I had originally hoped. I'm a firm believer that REALISTIC plans and goals are essential for any kind of business.

My goals for next year? Write more eBooks, find at least 2-3 more clients who want to build long relationships and get the hang of this niche marketing thing. Lord knows I write enough about IM but it's the marketing side I need to pay more attention to!

We all need some encouragement, especially those of us who work at home alone every day.

Thanks for the post and well done!

I set goals, took action, achieved things and enjoyed myself!!!

For example I went on 3 overseas trips, walked on fire, went skydiving, did stunt plane aerobatics, bungy jumped, got to meet and hang out with Tony Robbins, created a new offline company, became an outstanding speaker, connected and inspired people on a whole new level.

And a whole bunch of other cool stuff

    Good year

I think the best Internet Marketing thing I did this year was to get signed up with a great mentor (John Thornhill) and get great education and advice from very successful people in Internet Marketing (Liz Tomey and Jim Cockrum). Well worth every penny.

It really helps when you can see the right path to take!

This is the year I discovered myself...
    1. Realized that I was one of the one-eyed men in a land of blind people...
    2. Found out that success only comes after paying the full price...
    3. Discovered that the universe is fair, just and uncompromising...
    4. Noticed that the market only pays for perceived value...
    5. Learned that words hold the key to life and death...
    6. I saw the power of faith, confidence and sacrifice...
    7. Determined that there are only two mountains in this world. One with gold the other without. You can only dig one of them, not both.

What I did in 2011 is I actually created a product. I am recording the videos tonight and I would like the product to go live tomorrow or Sunday. I am proud of myself as I have been toying with the idea but I finally did it.
Now I feel I will do more in 2012 after doing this one project.

Hi Niche Man Thanks for bringing up this interesting topic!

2011 will be a big milestone for me as I made my first $15 from Amazon Associate after 10 months of reading and practicing I'm now $13 away to my first $100 with Amazon and I know I will make it as we're in the Christmas season! SO EXCITING!

2012 will be the year that I invest heavily in my business. I will be having a job next year (I'm in the final year of college). And I will put some amount of my salary and all my savings into tools and services that work Hope I can make my first $500 month before July 1st next year!

    All the best!

This year I decided to put all my efforts on Adsense which worked because now I can proudly say "I'm Making Money Online !!!!!"

It's not a lot but it's still money and it's still coming from online.

For next year I plan on focusing on CPA and creating a stable income stream from that.

I can identify with your challenge I had the same challenge when I first started. They even have a name for it now (shiny object syndrome).

Ironically I didn't start making any real money until I focused as well. It's not easy when you first start, you feel like a kid in a candy store ... until the money starts to run low, then you realize ... you'd better focus or fail.

    • Great question...and sorry it took me so doggone long to get in here.

After YEARS of trying to figure it out, I finally stopped being a procrastinator and learned how to do well in my home business. I love everything about internet marketing, but I did not want to write all day long. I wanted residual income....so I learned IM for network marketing.

I kept being told over and over what to do, and for whatever reason, it didn't click. It finally did a few months ago, and I am finally starting to have the success I wanted to have almost three years ago.

      Hope you are doing well.
