[DOCTORATE DEGREE] Has NOTHING to do With Making Millions?

My fellow Warriors, if you've seen any of my posts, you know that TONS of the stuff I say comes directly from my multi-milionaire mentor. And he mentors me free of charge!!

When he says something very eye opening to me I always like to share it here....and guess what he told me this time???

"Austin, I have more degrees than a thermometer (doctorate) but that has nothing to do with my success. Im successful because im consistent. But keep in mind, PERFECT practice makes perfect. Bad practice gives consistent bad results."

So warriors, make sure you're not only developing your skills, but REFINING them as well. Cheers and Beers

Nice... education sure can help to earn money. The more education one has, on average, the more one will earn over one's life time and it also diminishes the chances of being unemployed, statistically speaking.

I'm actually in the education business myself, so I firmly believe in education. And, definitely the stats do show a correlation between education and salary. However, I wonder how much of it is education in and of itself or the fact that it points to a person who is dedicated and willing to put in hard work to attain the degree (and hence will put hard work into their career as well).

In-other-words, is it a causative or associative relationship?

As Forest Gump would say "probably a little bit of both."

I guess my point is that even if you don't have a degree, you can still achieve success beyond your wildest dreams. Just need the dedication, enthusiasm and focus to make it happen. So much potential and opportunity is just waiting to be tapped.

I dont think anyone is arguing about education in general, as there is a myriad of ways to attain education but I think in America our education system is in dire need of an overhaul. My son graduated from high school and after being force fed 4 years of mathematics which he summarily forgot within 5 minutes of graduation and still has no concept of the difference between a credit card or a debit card, has no idea how mortgages work, clueless about investment options in life, the benefits of savings, the fundamentals of life that are used EVERY day of an adult life. Truly the reason the US school system is so low on the international rankings....

I like that, more degrees than a thermometer. :p Most of the top richest people don't even have a degree. Which reminds me of this, you should all check out when you are free. It views the education system as ruining creativity and more:

Totally true. You dont need an education to make a lot of money. In my opinion education is overestimaed.

Very nice quote thanks for sharing. I definitely think putting crud in gets crud out. But putting something good in makes it a lot more likely to get something good out in my honest opinion.

Thanks Austin for sharing the lesson

I agree that practice will make perfect only when we know how to refine those practices!

it is no surprise that a doctorate degree has nothing to do with making millions. That is because i don't know of any millionaire with a doctorate degree or even supper educated .Eduction has its strength and can link you to powerful networks but it can make you overspecialised in one thing working against everybody else rather than coperating with others in specific areas of strengths

Did Steve Jobs have a college degree? No! Did Bill Gates graduate from Harvard? No! I think Mark Zuckerberg has yet to earn his college diploma. Yet, these people have made billions!

Yes, I agree. Perfect practice makes perfect. When you keep doing things the wrong way, the mistake would be hard to correct because that mistake has become a habit and habits are often hard to break.
