... back into reality. My head seems to want to stay in the clouds today and I can't seem to find my focus. It's unfortunate, too, because today is one of few days that I have a nanny to watch my kids so I can work.

Perhaps it's the holidays, or the weather, but gosh darn it, I need to recharge and get back into "action" mode so I can actually accomplish what I need to so that I continue to progress in my business endeavors.

Perhaps some fellow Warriors can help me find my way back as I seem to want to gravitate more towards the dark side today. I need to clear my head, reboot, and stay focused! I tried reading through other positive, motivational threads, but I think I need a more direct "stop being an idiot!" slap in the face.

Bleck.

Hmm sounds like you don't have a Big Purpose for your life right now that makes you excited to get out of bed. Doesn't have to be your #1 purpose in life...just a big goal for Right Now. It'll focus you and pull you forward!

  • Great, Jason, that's what I was going to say.

It's your chance, Elizabeth, to go more inside and find that passion. When you find it and get it going from inside, you will not need any slaps, it will just drive you from inside so much you won't want to stop!

What it can be also, that usually you perceive this lack of alignment with your goals as "children disturbing" or something else coming in the way. And now when you suddenly don't have that excuse/explanation, you start stressing yourself down "I should do something!!".

Then really look at it from another side: you just got a chance to be driven from inside. When it is ready there, it will pour from you into physical actions, you won't need to force yourself into doing it. Success is not "to be achieved with actions". Success is you centered, and all actions pouring from you, and coming to you. I don't know how much of it you can feel right now, but surely you can touch it, try it. If you want to.

So I would recommend you to take this time, if it already came to you, and sit and think - what it is that you want to BE. What you want to feel. Write it down. Then start living it, bit by bit. Your actions will then be aligned with it.

Make a list of what you need to accomplish today and set your mind to it to not reward yourself with anything until the list is complete.

Words of psychiatrist Dr. Thomas Szasz are as follows, roughly.

"Clear thinking requires courage, rather than intelligence."

instead of thinking just do the work. take the first step and than another step and another step without any thinking. when i did not feel motivated than i throw my mind out of window and act like a robot and do the work without any thinking.

but this is for a short while. if you wanted to do the work for entire life as said before look deep into yourself and find out the passion and main purpose of your life. and you never ever worry about procrastination.

Try to relax for a minute and think of the things you really wanted to do for the day. If you're already in the mood, you may now take your first step.

You shouldn't be too hard on yourself, being creative can be equally as important as being diligant.

Maybe today will be a day for a great insight or idea that will massively improve the profitability of your business

Ironically, the day ended with a new idea/insight/direction. It re-ignited my inner passion for why I started in this business to begin with.

Thanks so much! This is why I love the Warrior Forum - there is a lot of great support out there.

Few quotes for you Hope it will help a little:

"In the end, it's not going to matter how many breaths you took, but how many moments took your breath away"

"When life gives you a hundred reasons to cry, show life that you have a thousand reasons to smile."

"I always knew looking back on the tears would make me laugh, but I never knew looking back on the laughs would make me cry."

And always remember to turn to God, for He can do wonderful miracles and amazing things in your life.

    God Bless,
    Jeremiah

HERE IS THE ANSWER.... THAT YOU NEED TO KNOW....

WHEN YOU ARE AT THAT MOMENT IN TIME.
THE ONLY THING THAT YOU CAN DO IS GET UP, GET AWAY FROM YOUR COMPUTER, GO FOR A LONG DRIVE OR GO TO YOUR LOCAL PARK. IF ITS COLD WHERE YOU'RE AT GO TO YOUR LOCAL BOOKSTORE AND GRAB A CUP OF TEA.

WITH YOUR FRESH CUP OF TEA IN HAND {SLAP YOUR SELF} LOL NO HEAD TO THE BUSINESS & MOTIVATION SECTIONS AND GET A LITTLE READING IN. THIS ALWAYS HELPS ME. GOOD BOOKS

    RICHES MAN IN BABYLON
    THE SECRET OF SHELTER ISLAND
    OR
    WHO MOVED MY CHEESE

REMEMBER 10 OUT OF 10 PEOPLE DIE AND YOU ONLY HAVE BUT SO MUCH TIME TO DO THAT WHICH YOU DESIRE TO DO.

IF YOU'RE GOING TO WASTE TIME DO IT IN A PRODUCTIVE WAY.

Setting the to do list and then putting a reward of you and your kids doing something fun together once the list is done is a great way of getting motivation. Hope this helps.

    I'm with Mary,

Whenever I don't know how to get back on track or don't feel like getting some work done, I take my ipod, slip into my running shoes and just go out for a jog.

I don't take my cellphone with me nor I think of any problems at least for that little while, before I end up jogging I am already feeling awesome and can't wait to get started with work AND with fresher ideas.

I don't know why but that's how my brain works, hope that helps! ;-)

I haven't revisited this post in some time, but I'm certainly glad I did today! You guys are excellent in every way... I'll be saving this for those annoying "days" that on occasion will creep in, slap myself, go for a run, and read the great comments from this post.
