Idea Men - Failure of Doing, Success of Telling

It is a common problem.
People everywhere coming up with ideas...

Ideas are great.

Imagine all the ideas to ever exit were laid side by side on a 2 dimensional plane.
The plane of ideas is surely a vast one.

Consider again this plane..
On it.. the idea for every business you love, every business you know, everyone you ever heard of, every business there ever was, started here.. as an idea.
The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident systems, ideologies, and business doctrines, every marketer and copywriter, every guru and beginner, every creator and buyer of businesses, every product launch, every coach and student, hopeful entrepreneur, inventor and negotiator, every teacher of techniques, every corrupt businessman, every "superstar", every "market leader", every saint and sinner in our industry -- started with an idea.

The trigger of an idea wields immense power.

The problem with ideas is that we can never run out of new ones. It is an infinite plane should we let it be. Humans are social creatures. We want to share!

This compulsion as social creatures coerces us to blindly run and tell our friends, our peers, our family, and our significant others about our ideas... without yet acting on them.

The lack of implementation or success of an idea because of this compulsion drives us into a negative state that kills any energy we may possibly have.

We need to stop seeing "ideas" as our mental children.

Don't be an idea man. Your latest idea may be great but it is nothing, absolutely nothing until a result has come from it.

If you have an idea for a new strategy, technique, or business... keep it to yourself.
Don't tell a soul until you have started to implement it.

In the realm of internet marketing, it is so easy to just start it makes no sense involving the world in your idea.
Keep it to yourself until that prospect is called, landing page is designed, website launched, copy written, technique implemented -- until then.. save yourself the mental energy.

Don't dwell on just one.
Diversify your investments and success is more likely.

You and all those around you will be much better off for it.

I love that you called ideas "triggers." That's great. I have about 50 ideas a day, and I'm learning to sort them and prioritize them and TAKE ACTION ON THEM.

    Thanks.
