As they say...Mind over matters-Testimonial

Here is self discovery and testimonial. I had been lazy, so to speak all summer AND not realizing what marketable skills I had at all. I really DOUBTED that my skills were that marketable. I was STUPID! No more!

I was on this other forum and tried doing a Wordpress related job for someone, even included a skill I had very much forgotten about. That skill was in deep, black-as-2AM shadows. Somehow, I lit up a shadow, so to speak and discovered a valuable skill hiding in that what was once a very black shadow.

Turns out that I had turned out the lights (forgot) in the skill room over a year long. I kicked myself for turning out those lights.

I end up going to oDesk.com and applying for several jobs. Soon after I applied for several jobs, I decided to fill out my profile AND get ID Verified. This all took place after I "lit up those really black as coal shadows". I could not believe what all I found in that once dark "room" and all marketable!

So I kick my rear into gear and start bidding on many jobs and setting up my account. Landed an interview for a $450 DOLLAR job. First SIGNIFICANT JOB I have ever had that could actually get me started off welfare into a new career, a good paying freelance career. I was crying in joy for the last few days because of this.

I'm glad your experience was positive for you.

I've been going on 5 years and have had minimal if any success. Should I be embarrassed yet? I won't feel no shame. Lololol.

Neither am I :-) I am trying to learn Internet Marketing from more than 2 years, went through information overload, read more than 100 000 e-mails, and then have found out, that I have to create some products by myself. Preparing now for my first WSOs, with many ideas in the back of my head. In the meantime earning some money for the basic needs...in off-line jobs.

Proud of you dude. Giving up must never crop up in our mind. Improvement and learning from our mistakes needs to be our criteria.

Yes, crusing for bruising is one part, but the real work needs to be focused. I used to have well paid 6-figure corporate JOB, which have allowed to me to do what I have loved. Then my boss & partner (at the same time) have died due to cancer. Since I have lost permanent and high incomes, this was difficult to RESET my mind and to start something new. Anyway, I did. Last 2 years I was running one of the contact points of one of European ICT programmes, which have dealed with interoperability of spatial information.

Now, after 1,5 years of the tornado in my and my family life i have goos news, since in paralell - i have contributed to submission of on of research projects of European Commission. It have turned out, that our project proposal is the best out of 400 submitted projects and soon I will re-cover the level on my incomes.

Imagine earning more than 6-figures a year, flying to vacations the whole Earth, and then, CLICK !, go down to ZERO. No incomes, no easy solution, and fixed high costs. Kind of nightmare lesson, but very productive to me.
Luckily met Robert Kiyosaki (wealthy partner of Donald Trump), fameous author of RichDad Pood Dad book, and thanks to him and the investment into real estates (still during corporate life), we have bought 3 real estates, which became an "investment pillow" - during the crisis.

Now heading to a formation of a new company, which will take some time.
But at least I know, that sentence - NEVER GIVE UP - is true and valid for everybody. My own life is the proff, that :

"QUITTERS NEVER WIN and WINNERS NEVER QUIT".

Therefore I will work on WSO on attitute to success and failure. I have very interesting case, from ZERO to making millions to ZERO again and the come back to welthy way, leading me to financial freedom. :-)

Awesome story, it often seems that the people who are having it the hardest seem to complain the least and just get on with it.

Thanks for sharing this. I also plundered around in the wilderness for a long time before things started clicking for me. Doesn't it all just come down to what we believe in? And if we really believe in ourselves and our abilities?

All those negative thoughts that eat away at us and stop us from moving forward.

Now you might face some setbacks - I know even good people on oDesk often get treated like junk so be prepared and remember that failure is feedback.

When I made my first few sales online it was really tough because afterwards there was just no activity. I'd check my ClickBank stats every few hours and the hops had dried up (my site was bouncing around the SERPs) and I had no sales or money coming for 4 weeks.

That was the worst time in the world but a learning experience also.
