IM Millionaires with Welfare Bank Accounts

I go to a lot of Internet marketing conferences and see a lot of the same faces. These guys can talk marketing until they are blue in the face. They know proper sales funnels, marketing, PPC, the works. They really know their sh*t.

What they don't know is how to look in the mirror and say, "Today is the day that I put all of this crap to work for me." They talk the talk, but for some reason refuse to walk the walk.

Maybe it's laziness. Maybe it's self loathing. Maybe it's some gene yet to be discovered by doctors.

Whatever it is, one thing is for sure. They have the knowledge of a millionaire and the bank accounts of a welfare recipient.

Moral of the story? Just because you read and answer questions on a marketing forum doesn't make you a marketer. You have to get out there and do the things that you are telling others to do.

It's 2012. Act like it.

Got to take action..... or how I say... "KICK A$$"

thats how you get the money...

sitting around all day buying WSOs and reading will not get you to making money any quicker.

Just jump in and do it... you will learn on the fly... BEST METHOD (WSO worthy ??? )

Ah great, another guy preaching the "you must do the work" message again.

Don't you have any shiny objects for sale, I would rather just buy one of those EBR.

Nothing replaces hard work and persistence .
Some of these people know there stuff, backwards and forwards but just never sit down to do the grunt work.

    Great title by the way.

You never know what someone is really going through, though.....This would make a nice case study...in particular the ones who go to all the conferences

    Amen.

While posting on the Warrior Forum or going to marketing conferences may be great, there's no reason you should be spending more than 30 minutes an average day on these kinds of tasks, TOPS. 5-10 minutes is plenty.

I recently read a great War Room post by Jason Fladien where he talks about marketers at conferences taking pages upon pages of notes, whereas he only has one or two. The reason why he gets stuff done is because he sifts out the information he doesn't need and takes in only what's necessary. Everyone should practice this, and carefully track and limit their time on tasks. It makes a world of difference in getting things done.

One big reason is stuff doesn't always work like it says in the WSO. Just sayin'.

I don't think that this pertains just to IM. I have been a martial arts student for many years and my instructor said something very similar. You can study all the material there is. Unless you can DO it without thinking about it, the knowledge it worthless. You can't tell you opponent, hold on a second let me look this up first.

Or as Frank Kern mentioned, he was going to create a 10 DVD course but only the first DVD would have anything on it. People don't take any action and normally don't stick with anything.

    Sad but true.

Well played, sir. I forced myself into getting something going because the time I was spending consuming information far outweighed the work I was putting into a business. This week I launch!

Good luck to everyone in 2012.

  • Very true. Through action I learned the most. Getting your first few sales is a way better feeling than reading a bunch of WSO's and having dollar signs in your eyes.
