Pain it takes to become GREAT
In this video Mike Tyson speaks about the pain it takes to become great.
If you do know know him, Mike Tyson was the model of the supreme gladiator - unbeaten and unbeatable. Never before had one individual captured the attention of the wider world via sport except Muhammad Ali. From 1987-1990, he was the undisputed world heavyweight champion conducting a reign of terror in the prize-fighting ring and earning millions of dollars doing it.
Here are a few points that stood out to me:
-Greatness is doing the most difficult thing in the word to do, but doing it with the simplest of ease.
-Regard yourself greater than you are so you can reach that status
-You have to be willing to give up happiness to become successful
-Sometimes you CANNOT HAVE FUN ACCOMPLISHING YOUR GOAL
-When you are striving to be great at something there will always be disappointments,
you must not be emotionally tied to them because it will break your spirit
etc...
