    Yep. I've been reading and collecting them since I can remember. My favourite is one my Brother gave me but I've already posted that a couple of times. I created my own after a liberating experience.

    This is a great thread. I also have been making a habit of collecting and sharing quotes.

    In fact I have a blog of inspirational quotes by subject. I cannot post links yet but if you google 'transformation ron sedlak' (copy and paste) you will get it as about the 5th ranking on the page. Look for 'transformation at will'.

    Bookmark it and you will have an ever increasing source of quotes by subject.

    I researched lots for my book: How to be Happy: A Practical Guide.
    My absolote favourite quote is from Walden by Henry David Thoreau:

        In order for you to be the best, you must first have that burning desire to achieve greatness in your area of expertise. Once that burning desire is there, you will drive all your thoughts and actions towards that purpose.

    Not only do I collect quotation books and have a file for quotations I find online, but at risk of sounding vain, I have a file of some of my own best lines from different writings. It really isn't a vanity thing. It's just handy to have that "just right" phrase on hand when I'm working. It's also inspirational to read some of them when I'm feeling low or thing aren't going right. I highly recommend the practice! Here's one of my favorite quotes of me:

    I've got a txt file specifically for quotes that i keep on my dropbox (so i can add to it @office @home @mobile) it's chock full of quotes but here's my top 10 and my interpretation:

    1. if you think things improve with age, attend a class reunion [things do not get better without action; do something, TODAY]

    2. the only place success comes before work is in the dictionary.

    3. your family needs your presence more than your presents [reminder: keep the main thing the main thing]
