What's your technique of handling Complacency?

We all strive for success, growth, money and various other things. Most of us forget our sleep and normal routine in order to achieve our quest. Until we have not achieved our goals, we are ready to die for it but things change when we achieve them. Now that we have already achieved everything, hard work takes a back seat and we become complacent. Soon this is visible in our attitude towards work. Our lackadaisical attitude starts affecting our business and life. Soon the downward spiral starts.

Most of us face the problem of being complacent, when success knocks our door. It has happened to me not once but twice , though I tackled the situation by reading motivational books and videos. Going off-the-track can lead to severe consequences, so what is your technique to handle this problem. How do you remain focused and don't become complacent?

I would wish you never be complacent and scale many heights of success. All the best.

I think the best way to huddle Complacency is to set bigger goals. A lot of time we set small or medium goals we feel are more "believable" but the problem with that is that we get easily bored by them.

You gotta step outside your comfort zone and set goals that are huge and exciting.

Then set up an action plan to get started. You don't have to know all the steps yet just the first one. Part of the adventure is figuring things out as you go. What fun would life be if you already knew everything that would happen?

You gotta learn to love the unknow

Dafuq does that have to do with anything??

Actually answering the OP...upon reflection complacency isn't actually a problem for me.

There are always extensions of goals and greater goals that come up along the way when I'm evolving to meet my current goals.

Sitting back and analyzing too much is where I mess up. Being in action and evolving as I work is how things come together for me.

There's not really complacency for me because I know there's always something greater to strive for and once a current goal is achieve the next one just falls into place.

So i guess my technique is just to be in constant action without over analysis of any given situation in order to avoid feeling too complacent about any given plateau of achievement.
