Keep Focused And Know Your Objective

Hello,

This is the first official thread I am writing in the Warrior Forum and thought that I would start by writing something on motivation. Why?, very simple because motivation is the driving force behind success. Affiliate marketing and making money on the web is still a business so no matter what business venture you take on you need to be focused and have motivation to succeed.

I have started several business with some that have been successful and others that have failed. I don't look at failure as a negative thing because if I didn't fail, than I would have not gained the valuable experience needed to succeed. When you fail, you learn why and make those adjustments in your next venture to meet your goals. However, I am not here to write a full article on failing and succeeding because it would be rather boring, so let me start by guiding you with the right thought process before you begin:

1. Do Your Research: I was very impatient and didn't do my research and some of the mistakes I made could have been avoided only if I had done some research into my business venture. I chose a few niches that were flooded and that were highly competitive, so for me to survive was highly unlikely. Do research on what type of business you would like to start and than press forward.

2. Be Passionate: Trust me when I say this" You will not survive if you do not like doing what you do". Many people have left jobs that pay $100,000+ a year because they were not happy doing what they did. This same concept will apply to you, but in our case since we are starting from scratch, we will not make the $100,000+ mark if we really do not like doing what we do. Imagine writing a 10 page article on something that you completely dread, you will not even get past the first page, however if you love it, you can go on forever.

Now for the important points:

3. Set A Goal: Set a goal for yourself and build on that goal until its a burning flame. Even before you start, make sure you know where you want to be in 3 months and if you accomplish the goals, than set some more goals for the next 3 months. Keep writing them down on a poster and hang it in front of you so every time you look up, you will see that poster. How does this help?

Simple...There will be times that your effort will go un-rewarded and you'll feel like giving up so you need something to give you that extra push whenever you are down. Have something like a poster or motivational quotes that you can read so you can reiterate your goals for the next 3 months.

4. Stay Focused: This is very important because many people who start website business tend to begin to wander all over the place. They will start one business in a specific niche and than 2 months later start another niche website. It doesn't work that simple because no website grows that fast and if it does, please write an article on it because I would love to read it. Keep focused on one website and keep fueling it until it becomes a roaring blaze and than move on. Giving up or changing your niche after two months will always cut your potential short.

5. Exercise: I know you guys are like "What The Hell Does This have To Do With Anything", however exercise releases endorphins into your blood stream and these enzymes are proven to reduce stress and boost mood. The reason this is important is because it keeps us going. It gives us the patience and keeps our spirits high. We need our internal "poster" or like our internal motivation board. Staying healthy keeps our mind thinking and allows us to keep looking for avenues to promote what we started without giving up.

Exercise produces a positive thinking state of mind and is even proven to boost self esteem and confidence.

Staying focused on your objective is very important, and you should maintain it. This is one of the reasons that internet marketers are very successful in their careers through focusing.

    Good list, thank you!

Goals are essential, like you point out. It actually helps not only to have a major goal, but also mini-goals that lead up to the major goal. This way, as you keep achieving the mini-goals, you feel wonderfully motivated that you are making progress.

    Thanks!

Absolutely, you've got get up off of your butt and start lifting things. It's easy to just go "I'll get in shape later", but you pay for it down the line.

Grab some good IM coaching MP3's if you need to feel "plugged in" and get out and jog a little!

I think the hardest part to do is to remain focus.
Every time when I try o complete something. there are just so many things run through my head: facebook, games and email and everything

I guess I should stay focus more from today onwards.
    Thanks

Yes! Keeping focus is an important part of success. It is very difficult these days to stay on tract with 'shiny-thing syndrome' running rampant. Every day, countless distractions try and pry themselves between you and your goals. Stay focused and persistent to reach success.
