Saw this on my friend's facebook. It's supposed to be "How to Feel Miserable As An Artist" but it somehow applies to Internet Marketers like us too...

Nice thread but i would reframe them into into the positive.
We don't want any negative's in our live's just positive's.

Thanks for this man! I would like to point out for myself the first thing you mentioned:

"Constantly comparing yourself to other IM-ers"

I questioned myself on the difference between me and the other IMers. If I had some negatives or anything that is lacking which the other IMers have, I should try my best to be always positive and become a better IMer for many years to come.

Talking to most of my family is impossible anyway. They have absolutely no idea (no matter how I try to explain it) what Internet Marketing actually is! They all get blank looks and go "what?"

    LOL this is excellent!

IMO it is good to double-barrell your efforts of self drive and motivation. Not only should you have a target where you are heading towards, you should ALSO have something you are moving away from!

How many of us, especially newbies such as myself, start out by chasing their tails, trying to be all things to all people?

Explain what I do to my family? Hah! They just nod their heads and smile -

Selling your integrity for a little cash? Bad idea, it comes back to get you

    Thanks for the post!

Good post. Concentrate on what YOU want and what makes YOU happy, not what other people think is best for you.

I think this information can definitely be true. I struggle with some of these myself. But learn from it and turn the negative into a positive.

My favorite three. IMO, IM'ers think that, as long as they make $20 it was worth the fifteen hours the put into it. Ridiculous.

And honestly, your mom will never love that you sit in front of a computer all day!
