I'm really proud of myself - success today!

I suffer from shiny object syndrome from time to time.

However, today I'm proud to say that I've shown a bit of success, power and self-improvement...

I turned down a shiny object opportunity today, even though it was something that I've REALLY REALLY wanted for a long time.

I've committed to focusing and completing my current project before venturing onto bigger and better things.

Even though it a small thing, it feels great to have that self-control.

What have you done lately, big or small, that has given you an amazing feeling of success, power or self-improvement?

Haha with all these professional marketers here on the forum, it's hard to not get the shiny object syndrome sometimes lol.

Great job in keep your mind set on your goal and getting it done! It's an amazing feeling to have control over your life, isn't it? Keep you eyes on the prize, and everything else will fall in place.

    What I have done lately...

This morning I was feeling a bit groggy and tired and didn't want to walk my dog. I got my lazy butt up and took her out and had a great time. Came home with energy to spare and got to work on a few projects. Surrounding yourself in good energy will make life a whole lot easier for you!

Keep up the solid work, Darren! You're on your way to much more success!

    Ooo.

I know what you're feeling here

It's so tough to turn down those shiny objects and I deal with the same thing sometimes.

    Congratulations Darren

When it comes to what I've done.

I'd say that I've allowed myself to be more open and constantly progressive. It's a tough journey but I've seen a lot of success from it.

If it's not tough, then are you really achieving anything worthwhile? You're doing a great job.

Your site and video are very good BTW.

Well, in line with your commitment, I too have vowed not to buy any new WSO's until I get my new project off the ground. Until today I had been WSO free all week. But, I took a plunge today and brought one that I felt would help add some inspiration and/or ideas for an invention I have been toying around with. I have this quirky idea I've been playing with... Need something to validate its feasibility it seems, and thought I could use some validation. Wouldn't you know the WSO did point me in the right direction so it was inspirational. Though I did break my WSO fast... hahaha.

At least the WSO was something to help you along the way with your current project. Nice job.

"WSO Fast" - haha - we should start up a Jenny Craigs or WSO Watchers around here requiring a strict diet of one project at a time.

Congratulations! This is a major problem for a lot of people, myself included.

It's funny. People who would never blow off a friend or a coworker, turn around and constantly flake out on themselves when it comes to tasks that require self-discipline.

Learning to tell yourself "no" is a great sign that you're serious about success.

That is so true, and yet we don't really think about it unless somebody brings it to our attention. Thanks for that dude!

Stick at it Darren! Keep us updated on your project...

As for me, after years of trying I have started making positive cash flow online! My job pays me $250 a day and all I can think about is checking my adsense income for the day at $5-$10 a day lol.

Remember that things can turn for the best really quick when you stick to something.

      Thanks for the encouragement Jeff.

Congrats on the positive cash flow. Adsense is a tough way to make it big in this business, but I wish you luck my friend.

Good job, takes a lot of self-control to get over it and once you master that you can do anything you set your mind too!

I my self managed to kick one bad habit a few years ago (over eating) and am a fitness trainer with many certifications and happy clients under my belt.
But my real passion is IM that's my full time job ATM and I can finally say I look like a fitness trainer and make money like IM'er after a few years of being the other way around

Well done to you too! You know I think a lot of us probably don't do as much on the fitness front as we would like, so I congratulate you for achieving success. To be able to combine it with your real passion though is simply amazing.

Throughout the day I still think about my shiny object, but thankfully the credit card is staying in the wallet
