Is anybody here a user of the Silva Method? I just started the system today (they have a $1 trial for 10 days) as I'm trying to start meditating again and really focus on doing that daily.

I like it because it mixes science with spirituality, as it focuses on how our brainwave frequencies affect our conscious and subconscious thoughts.

Here's the link in case anybody wants to read more about it: Silva Life System | Silva Method Mind Control by Jose Silva

But just wondering if anybody else was using this on WF?

I do use some of their techniques. They have some nifty visualization type methods that I find useful to help me stay focused.

I'm not really a big user of their system, though.

Thanks Sanjeev for your reply! I just started with the program so still learning from the audios. The thing that I like is that the audio sessions help to guide my meditations.

Also, not sure if you have heard of Brahma Kumaris (their videos are all over youtube) but I like their positive thinking and mindset discussions. Really helps to get content with your thinking within a few minutes of watching a video.

I took their course years ago, and found it very helpful. It got me started on a spiritual search, and I eventually wound up joining a meditation group, Science of Spirituality (www . sos.org) which is also based on scientific principles, but is at the same time deeply spiritual.

Thanks Daystar for the info, I'll have to check it out!

Meditation does take time and dedication but the results are life long. If you have the ability to control your mind and thoughts, there's no stopping you!

I bought the Silva audio program about 4 years ago. The classic CD pack

While I had it, I actually got a lot of value and I really enjoyed the meditation along with the background ticking technology. I actually noticed a huge difference over regular meditation.

Then I lent the discs to someone and never got them back

Thanks for the reminder, I'm going to have to call that person and get started on the Silva method again.

As the kid of a mother who went through the program - she went to a weekend seminar. The cancel/cancel response to negative stuff irritated me, it was used on me alot. It's a huge operation and must be a success with the huge following they have.

I have used the Silva method for several years now and found the mental training exercises to be very useful in developing skills for brainstorming and clarity when facing decisions or problems in personal and business. The mental laboratory exercise is among my favorite
