A Fellow Journeyman's Review of Andy Andrew's "The Traveler's Gift"

Taking a personal journey of self discovery, development, and improvement, this book was highly recommended to me by a good friend. I took them up on their challenge and obtained the book with no real expectations, only an open an inquisitive mind.

Let me start by saying I was immediately enthralled in the book, plot, and main character. Why? Because I had been in his shoes and could immediately relate to his personal plight. It doesn't matter what my experience was as we've all been in this position at some time in our lives.

"The Traveler's Gift" by, of all people, Andy Andrews and I say that with the greatest of respect, is a classic personal development parable and should be required reading for everyone asking the question, "why is this happening to me, why am I here?" Yes, I see you shaking your head up and down. You know exactly what I mean.

"The Traveler's Gift" is beautifully wrapped in an exquisite cover that attracts with the promise of adventure, excitement, revelations and great travels. There are 206 well written pages divided into 11 well proportioned chapters. You become so involved in the main character, his thinking, experiences, and encounters, you are not even aware if these chapters are long or short. They are just right.

Andy has created a wonderful drop back for sharing The Seven Decisions of Personal Success that will assist everyone in the understanding of success in their personal, spiritual, financial, and physical lives. At first you may say to yourself, after these seven decisions are revealed to you, "I knew that." Then, as you think more deeply about what they entail and how they are presented you will say, "No, I'm learning something new and important here. I better sit up and take notice."

I found I instinctively reached for and liberally utilized the day-glow yellow highlighter from my end table. The nuggets you will receive from this book will be personal and unique to each person and you must act to save them for future reference.

I'm sorry, but to divulge the exciting parts of this book to you now would be a disservice. The main character's life does not flash before his eyes but rather takes a wonderful journey throughout the ages meeting with exceptional characters who reveal the seven decisions, one at a time. Decisions he must remember, weave into his life, and take positive action to survive.

I have but one quote to share with you from this book. "There comes a time in every person's life when a decision is required. And that decision, should you make it, will have a far-reaching effect on generations yet unborn. There is a thin thread that weaves only from you to hundreds of thousands of lives. Your example, your actions, and yes, even one decision can literally change the world." ~ David Ponder

I leave you with this thought. When that time comes, and it will come in each of our lives, will you make that decision?

I highly recommend this book as I've learned a great deal, had a wonderful time experiencing the journey, and will practice the seven decisions daily from now on. Will you?
