After years of new year's resolutions coming around, how many times have you made resolutions such as going to lose weight, going to start working out, going to start that business, they are always well intended statements of these resolutions or goals, we never say that I'm going to start smoking crack next week, right? It is always something positive!

But what happens? Well, It is like this, a week later, a month later or possibly that same day, you give up on that goal or resolution, I know I have done it in my life too!

But, why do we do this? Interested in understanding the Why?

See, I'm sure that your conscious intention was a good one, and you were consciously set on achieving that resolution or goal, but I can almost bet dollars to donuts, that you quit, well short of the target? Yes?

The answer is that in your unconscious mind, you had a different plan, a plan that was not set on achieving that goal, or as it has been called counter intentions, or beliefs:" like I can't start a business", "I'm not smart enough", "never went to college"," my parents won't approve", "don't have the money", "or have the money but don't want to lose it", or this one is my favorite "what will people think, if I fail".

See, If we don't change the belief then the goal will morethen likely not be reached! Change your Mind Change Your Life!

    Hi darrink

You are not alone, most of us are just like that. As for me I have consider wasted my 8 years slacking around, but now I have changed because I get in contact with personal development information, learn with Jim rohn, Anthony Robbin and many other top coach. So pick up a pen and write down what you want to achieve and take a little step to achieve it. Remember that a a small leads to a great leap. Once u take action, you will achieve it. Have faith!

the current state oh humanity..we need the way things are to hurt quite a bit before we make changes we need to make ..

also most people don't ever settle down and [put though into what they really want ..and what it takes to get it .

I agree with this. We consciously want one thing, and simultaneously our subconscious mind is sabotaging this. We really have conflicting desires. We THINK we want to succeed, but somewhere in there we don't really believe we can, and/or we are attached to failing (not consciously, remember). We have some hidden gain in remaining where we are, not successful.

    Hi Darrink,

We become what we think about and if you can think about something you want to achieve and put colour and substance to that thought by putting EMOTIONS with that thought then you have a much better chance of succeeding.

Try to add some senses to your goal (positive thought) see, touch, taste, smell, & hear what it is like when you have that goal and most importantly see yourself as having whatever the goals is in your life right now.

Take good care of those that you love.
