    Hi Dennis,

I’m so happy that you’re into self-improvement. Sometimes we internet marketers tend to be too absorbed with strategies and techniques on earning more profit and developing our websites that we tend to forget what’s really important – OURSELVES!

I’ve been drowned in the information overload while I was starting my business until I met a lot of awesome internet marketing coaches. One of them is Bob Yeager, who is by far one of the most effective internet marketing coaches. If you’re looking for self-improvement content over the net, probably you stumbled into his site already. His teaching integrates self-improvement and internet marketing together.

If you know where he started his business from, for sure you’ll be inspired. He has this philosophy of paying yourself first and enjoying the small successes that you experience such as buying a domain name for the first time etc. as you go on with your business.

I took the liberty to share my interview with Bob Yeager through my site (see my signature line if ur keen) Its about internet marketing through self improvement.

I believe that when it comes to internet marketing - like any aspect of life, we have to constantly improve ourselves and enrich our values as a human being and avoid turning into an internet marketing ROBOT.

    Always here to help,

    Nick

Self improvement is a difficult area to blog on if you are writing in-depth from personal experience. I've had a couple of attempts which dead-ended. At the moment I'm waiting on a drip-fed self improvement blog to be set up for me, should be ready any minute now, and I'll add my own posts when I have something to say. I've got a Self Empowerment book which really needs more promotion, so I'm hoping the blog will help with that.

Sometimes I add self-improvement posts to my I.M. blogs, though I'm not sure anyone really reads those posts, lol...

Mine is a self improvement blog and site all in one. Covers self esteem, goal setting, attitude etc.

I love Nick's comments on self improvement and internet marketing going hand in hand. In order to succeed you need the right goals, attitudes and self belief, I shall take a further look at Bob Yaegars site.

I hope my site conveys an easy to understand way of working on self improvement. I am constantly updating and am here to stay!

BTW this has to be one of the best forums on the net, it's so active, it's great.

I had a blog that I was developing completely about self-improvement and personal motivation, as it's my passion to help others constantly improve themselves with the incredible techniques, wisdom, and information that I've learned from the masters over the years.

However, my hosting and WordPress was hacked, and I had to shut it all down. I still own the domain, and plan to reuse it within the near future (PowerMotivator.com).

I enjoy helping others, and I fully intend to make a very prosperous living from it, though I have a series of stepping stones to overcome until I'm in a suitable place to help others in the way which I desire most.

I do still have an ebook that I wrote for my website, called ''How to Leave Your Fear of Failure in the Dust''. I passionately wrote it as a guide to help others overcome the fear of failure in 6 easy steps, as I had found no other comprehensive guide with such instructions as I searched through the Internet, simply small posts and opinions.

I was giving it away for free for some time, but unfortunately people don't value free things as much as when they invest in them, so now I only sell my ebook for a small fee in order to make people appreciate the value of it, rather than letting it gather digital dust on their hard drives.

You can expect to see me hitting the self-improvement market in a massive way within the not-so-distant future.

Keep your ear to the ground.

Yes, I blog and produce articles and books on self-improvement and achieving our goals.

Actually, not so much self-improvement as personal development. I think the best way to achieve our goals is to love, appreciate and value ourselves, not to fit into what others want or expect.

Personal growth is important. So is spiritual growth. The truth is that you can't really grow personally unless you have spiritual growth at the same time. Sure you can grow and grow a business and make mountains of cash. But ask yourself this. Are those who grow in this area alone truly happy?

Hi Dennis and other self dev folk here.
Self dev and related things are my natural niche as I have studied them for their own sake for a very long time.
So it is what I have to contribute from and so am building my biz around, including an authentic blog.
It really is important to have personal experience to draw from in this niche more than most,
then it can open up a really helpful dialogue with folk.
That is good for your biz also, as it keeps folk on your site longer.
Blogging is very time consuming though, so although I will rewrite it in my own words and not spin it,
I am gathering worthy content for it, including PLR, so that I always have subjects to draw from.
I think it best to not spin content, as the nonsense that creates will not convey that you are either
    knowledgeable or sincere.
If it is what you or anyone else here are finding yourself naturally drawn to
then once mine is published online you are welcome to visit and to have a good exchange about it.
I will put a link here then as well as my page.

At the moment I caretake a

❧I started studying self dev over 4 decades back from when it was about the conscious evolution of both the individual and through them the human family. As Ghandi said 'If you wouldst change the world, first you must change yourself' Huna is based on that principle.
This was before it became mainstream and before it became soo monetized. Since it has been taken over by financial interests there is very good reason to be discerning in both what we explore and promote, lest 'the baby be thrown out with the bath water' with the understandable cynicism all this monetarism and jumping on the bandwagon without wisdom breeds.

So I thought a little of it's history from what I have learnt over this time of relevance.

It is also related to the kind of post I would have on my blog perhaps as part of an intro. My blog is kinda scattered across various self dev forums so far and so is active and responded to in that sense. They are not monetized and so to preserve that I will only give the links to those interested in self dev for it's own sake.

In 1977 a new planet(oid) called Chiron was discovered in our solar system and the same year The Journal of Humanistic Psychology was launched. This marked the start of many self help, self dev, self improvement, alternative/complementary medicines being accepted into the mainstream.

It is traditional that when a new planet is discovered that it's naming and associated attributes reflect the prevailing zeitgeist.
This also relates to the Doctrine of Signatures most commonly seen in the relationship between herbs appearance and their, now scientifically confirmed, healing attributes.
Chiron was the Centaur who taught the greek heros the healing arts and divination. He is known as the Wounded Healer due to his having an unhealed wound, from which he made a healing solve to help others. Look to both the charts and lives of many of the effective healers, counsellors and self dev practitioners and you will see Chiron strongly placed in their charts and the wounded healer principle a strong aspect contributing to their work.

My own synchronicity with Chiron was to receive the first ever publication on it's attributes (so new it was just a flimsy pamphlet) and thereby to discover it's strong placement in my chart. It also precisely confirmed some far memories that had not been covered by any other aspects of my chart.

When looking at planetary attributes it is known as the As Above So Below principle.

If you look at the orbit of Chiron it is considered maverick(unique) as it goes the opposite way to the others. It is an unusual elliptical orbit in that that travels between the orbits of Saturn representing the traditional old and Uranus representing the radical new, so it interesting to see how it's discovery coincides with the traditional starting to accept the radical new.
That said, some Humanistic arts and sciences are very old indeed, just not accepted in mainstream for some while.

A Dr friend of mine, an anaesthetist, told me, that as we destroyed our repository of traditional herbal knowledge, along with it's practitioners, during the supposed 'witch hunts' so we are having to get our herbal knowledge from Chinese medicine, as many of our pharmaceuticals are isolated and derived from herbs.

(btw These supposed 'witch hunts' were actually much more about churches and the male physicians maintaining /gaining their control over the people, sprinkled with greed, sadism, superstition and vendetta, which helped cover their actual intent, ( today it is our freedom of choice over which medicines we use and the practitioners that use them, that are under attack )

So back to self dev blogging

perhaps it is good to access what one uniquely has to offer to discern what value one can contribute that will make your blog stand out from the many.
Mostly that is about what is your journey with it.
That can be divided into your history and repository of knowledge and, as a practitioner, one would hope some gathered wisdom to be a sign of any self dev practises worth.

If you are new to the journey then it's more about what is appealing from that, which is about finding folk who are going to resonate with that, such as

'I am a student of …. studying at … Uni in … . My interests are … … … … and I have started to explore self dev and I found this practice to be very interesting/helpful/ give me new insights.

Inviting others insights and experiences to aid it being content rich.

There is an Eastern saying 'The journey of a 1,000 miles begins with the first steps', so sharing about your first steps and what really got you started would be very helpful to folks.

Ideally one would combine those two as it is an on going journey.

It seems the essential ingredient is this niche in particular, is one's authenticity.

You do come across as authentic, sincere and a good communicator Dennis.
It would be lovely to hear what areas most appeal to you and what you have explored so far
UPDATE just visited your site, a great repository of links to explore thank you.

❧ 'There is a golden thread that runs through every religion'

In Tune With The Infinite by Ralph Waldo Trine

    I often quote the above,
40yrs ago I lived in a remote caravan in the Welsh hills
and would awaken and meditate by candlelight before dawn,
watch the long shadows of the trees climb the hills at sunrise
and then continue to write out this book from cover to cover
    and again at each dusk.

When I returned to Cambridge I found and bought a dozen copies for my family and friends.
It being the source of so many self dev books is well expressed in your * intro.
One needs to first get past the language of those times, which is mostly evident in the books own intro,
then it is an absolute delight to read.

Before "New Age" there was "New Thought," a philosophy that sought God through metaphysics
and was wildly popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
American mystic and best-selling author RALPH WALDO TRINE (1866-1958)
was one of the most significant writers on New Thought principles.
Here, Trine examines how to strengthen connection to the Infinite Mind
to enjoy a free-flow of abundance, personal blessings,
and a strong sense of so necessary one's well being.
Originally published in 1897, this timeless book inspired a generation
and sold more than two million copies in its day.
It is thought to be a fundamental work of inspirational writing
that led to such bestsellers as Think and Grow Rich,
and The Power of Positive Thinking.
