Life Improvement - Need some help

Hello Warriorforum,

Let me start off by introducing myself. My name is Jacques, I'm 17 years old and live in Belgium with my parents and little brother. Right now, I'm sitting here behind a laptop watching over my friend that got ill. It's been two hours and I've been thinking about my life the entire time. I've came to the conclusion that I'm not satisfied with my life and won't be if I don't take action sometime soon.

When I was younger I was always busy learning and trying new things practicing as long as I needed to get it down. I had an intense desire to become the best at anything I tried my hands on. Growing up I couldn't find any challenges and I got bored within a week with almost everything I did. I didn't pay attention in class and neither did I do any homework yet still passed every year without any problems. I started investing in the stock market when I was 13, made a little bit of profit and got bored as well. When I turned 15 I decided to start up my own business selling wallets I made myself, again I made a tidy profit but got bored after only a short while. A few months after this my behavior changed drastically. I started skipping classes more and more often and didn't feel like doing any sports anymore either.

Nothing of this is out of control just yet but I think that it won't be long before that happens if I don't take any action now. Aside from that, I feel like a piece of crap just sitting around doing nothing but playing video games.

All I want is a goal, a definite purpose. Something that I can put my time in and feel satisfied about.

Any help would be so much appreciated,
Jacques

No one here can tell you what to do with your life, but here are a few questions to consider:

    What excites you?

If you could do anything with your life, what would it be?

What benefit do you gain by delaying your sense of satisfaction until after you set or achieve a goal?

What is it that you're ultimately running from by hoping to set and achieve a goal? (I highly encourage you to really think about this because you may discover something that you do not like)

Two of the most profound questions I have found anywhere. Thank you, Jason! (I have a lot of thinking to do...)

        I'm glad it was helpful

One major problem people have is that they basically think happiness comes as a result of achieving a goal, when in fact, the key is to be happy now so that the goal can be more easily achieved.

Otherwise, you'd feel miserable until you reach the goal, and then you'd only be temporarily happy. Or at least, that's what I've noticed.

I know exactly what you mean, Jacques. I was at a place in life for a long time that nothing excited me, no matter what it was. I've had good and poor paying jobs, I've started projects, failed projects, and discarded projects of all sorts. For the longest time nothing excited me. Even if it seems exciting at first, I feel my excitement fall away, and I soon find that whatever it is that I'm doing is just miserable to me. I'm assuming this is how things have been for you, correct?

Sometimes the answer is a good motivational speaker, and there are many amazing ones out there, like Tony Robbins, Jack Canfield, Jim Rohn, James Ray, Napoleon Hill, and many others.

People like this, through their audio files and audiobooks have helped me find a purpose, find a desire, and find a passion for doing something. They've helped me find a focus, and discipline, which is very important. It's very hard for me to focus, as I have heavy symptoms of ADD or ADHD (Not clinically tested, mind you), but it's critical to focus if you want success, if you want to fulfill a purpose.

If you want my advise, look into finding a copy of Tony Robbins Personal Power II audio files. They're what kick-started me into finding a purpose, and they could well do the same for you.

Sounds like you have a lot of drive, Mohawk. When I was 15, I was only starting an occasional babysitting or yard mowing gig to make an extra couple dollars. Very few of your peers are here--you are miles ahead of them!

It also sounds like you have a restless personality. I hope you find something you really love to do, because you could succeed in an epic way!

I am reminded of Thomas Edison--who had thousands of patents, including the light bulb. A friend told him he worked too hard and should take a vacation. Edison asked, "What do you do on a vacation?" The friend told him you go somewhere you like to go and do something you like to do." Edison replied that he would go on a vacation, starting tomorrow. Next day, he was at his shop, working on creating inventions as usual. The point is, he was where he wanted to be, and doing what he wanted to do.

If you could find something you love, and use your youthful energy to take it to the next level, you can succeed--big time!!!

It's what you do when no one is watching
that determines what you will be able to
    do when everyone is watching.

    Hey Jacques.

Had similar issue but found that just doing things and making the effort to get involved with different things, naturally lead me towards becoming a walking textbook concerning 'Advanced Inner Technology'. A topic which seems to traverse the condition of time in order to implement practical applications of its discipline.

I'm older than 17, and discovered why an individual only begins to be wise at or after the age of 52 (ancient technology). You might do a little research on:
    1. Jacobs Ladder (planetary aspect zodiacal period sensitive atmospheres)
    2. Mayan Calender Systems (cycle maturation concerning event occurrence experience)
    3. Astronomy concerning evolutionary gestation cycles (mental-psychological evolutionary progression capacity)
Believe me, you wont get bored.

I was in the financial industry where I first worked in a bank as a retirement benefits agent. Did to earn money, but knowledge was important later in other areas. I was a financial agent broker in small boutique firms and more importantly, advanced myself to becoming an 'exotic financial engineer'.

One advantage through all this, was that I really was interested in music. Yes, I've seen the planet by touring in commercial groups, and experienced many cultures, but it seemed to be some sort of natural evolving prescription and preparation, for the later research. Unplanned and naturally occurring.......

During these events, I always had a sense of being an observer of the experiences. Things were more fascinating than reasons to get bored.

The point I'm trying to make, is just do stuff. Even if sometimes you think you won't like it. The character of this Mother Nature, is to present conditional situations of circumstance, that are intrinsically attracted by you, into the proximity of your unique experience.

This happens due to the degree of which an individual, is able to employ the human psychological feature of 'clear perspective perception'. This clarity of perception will enable you to see, 'patterns', which enable the psychologies of confidence to happen.

In other simpler terms, the ability to accurately detect, discern, and discriminate patterns, that are constant within all things. Learn to detect patterns so as to be able to move philosophy, religion, cultural morality, and passive intelligences of science.

You might also consider looking into ancient technologies, which can be accurately uncovered in multiple scriptural text, ONLY, if they are read in their original alphanumeric language, and properly decoded or allegorically coupled with their value compliment.

You will be presented with the code keys to be able to recognize all patterns.

Just Like Putting Pennies In A Piggy Bank Over Time, You Only Really Feel The True Weight Of The Penny Savings, After Doing Many Deposits; Like Just Doing Stuff, And Sensing Your Experiences Of Detecting Patterns In The Character Expressions Of All Things You Experience. Get it?

you might get bored with ever being bored.......

    Hoe this helps.......

    Tom

    Hey Jacques,

Let me start by saying that there are no specific techniques or any set patterns or rules that will help you in your quest for the life you desire.

There are to many gurus and pseudo gurus around these days that tell you that you have to follow specific rules or certain steps to be successful or to have great relationships and a life of happy days.

Here is my advise ~ Follow Your Heart ...

Yes you read that right, follow your heart. You see, to many people get into systems and courses that are purely mind based. What few of these people fail to tell you, maybe because the just don't know, is that the heart is stronger than the mind.

Ok. What do I mean by that? Well many books and courses go into great detail about how powerful the mind is and how the conscious mind is just the tip of the iceberg. That there is a subconscious mind which must be trained to do certain things in a certain way.

Much of this is valid to a degree. However, the heart has an electromagnetic field which is around 5000 times stronger than that of the mind. Great you might say, but what does that mean in the real world? Quite simply it not just about what you think it is more about what you FEEL! It's the power of emotions that are most effective.

Anyway, on the 12th April 2012 My partner John Harricharan and I are doing a webinar on "The Power Pause" It's free and you may well pick up some useful information. You will find updates over the next week or so on my Facebook page.

In the meantime you might want to go here > inspirational, motivational, a love story and the power of love by John Harricharan < and pick up a free copy of Johns best selling book. This might give you some insight as well.

How do I know all about this stuff... I've studied it for the last decade or so. How do I know it works...

Let me end by asking you a question... How many 50 year olds do you know that still play competitive football (soccer in the US) with guys in there still in their teens and 20s? - Now you know at least ONE... ;-)

You get bored simply because that is not where your interest lies.
Want to know what you like and love to do all day without getting bored?
It's very simple, just go to any book shop, and see which categories of books attracts you. then you just focus in that field =))

Instead of staying and playing, why don't you make yourself keep busy. There are things you can do. Think about what really want and start doing it to achieve it.
