My Current Full-Time IM Lifestyle - Learn From Me, or Tell Me What I Can Improve on!

As you know, IMers like us need to be super discipline, live super healthy and have good lifestyle habits. It is easy to get distracted, get lazy, get unproductive and live super unhealthly- the nature of our job.

Lifestyle planning is important- so that in future when we are rich we will live long enough to spend and enjoy every single penny of our hard work!

My current lifestyle
(Super-productive mood)

Monday-Fri

8am- Wake up. And start work.
10am- Breakfast with TV
10.30am- Start work again. (30 mins of break to have breakfast and rest my eyes at the same time. I know im watching tv, but it is less strenuous than a computer screen)
12.30pm- Do house work or whatver. Just trying to move around to increase metobolism and rest my eyes again.

1.30pm- Start work again.
2.30- Lunch
3.30pm- Off to either the gym, swimming or shopping.
5.30pm- Back home to start work again.
7pm- Dinner
8.30pm- TV and chillout time
10.30pm- Work.
12am- Sleep.

The main concern while creating this lifestyle plan is for sufficient rest time for my eyes. It's important. If you stare at the screen too long, you will get tired easily, potentially straining your eyesight and increase the thickness of your spectacles lens, most importantly if you get tired, you will tend to slack off, take a nap and wasting precious time and lowering productivity.

Thanks for reading, and do be generous of sharing of lifestyle plan/tips as well!

@jon99 it looks like you are getting sufficient amount of sleep and exercise; 2 things that individuals ration on when rationalising that if you are not getting the results you want you need to work more and harder, so you are doing good there.

Is there any area of the schedule that you wanted tweaking?

    Good Program ..
While I see also to make the time of work more specified and not too stretch it till 10.30 pm and use the rest of the day with your social relations with friends and spend nice time through outings for example. have a successful professional and personal life

When I started with IM I was all day sitting on my chair and working / reading / trying. After few months i realized that i was getting fatter day by day.

Now I am on a diet and cause of the long time of sitting my body got weak. I try to walk every day a few kms fast and when I get some of my strength back, first thing to do is "log in" the neighborhood gym daily...

can't support the IM lifestyle if you don't have a good program that includes some walking/gym etc.

thanks for the post jon, it was inspiring!

      Thanks.

Well, actually this is my "rush for the money" work lifestyle. It is tuned towards my financial goal which i believe will take a year or two to achieve.

After achieving the goal, i will probaby switch to "have fun" lifestyle, which involves more social and less work!

It's definitely important to give those eyes a rest! I find walking the dog and looking at nature/greenery helps them to 'readjust'...

A good life style but can be improved by following "early to bed n early to rise, makes man healthy, wealthy n wise".Getting up early n going for a walk in early morning refreshes both mind n body. One can start the work quick n finish it up quicker.

    Great post Jon.

I've always had a great interest in the lifestyle part of internet marketing.
A lot of people get content with sitting behind the computer screen all day and lose focus in other aspects of their life that need attention.
Health being one of the bigger problems.

I make sure to keep active and healthy by playing sport 3 or 4 times a week and running on every other day.

Though I am only young which enables me to be more active than the older people in internet marketing.

More or less similar to my routine, except that I do not work at nights, because staying in front of the PC just before going to bed is not a healthy thing to do (at least for me).

My ideal routine would be as follows:

    06:30 - Wake up
    06:45 - 07:45 - Walking/running/cycling outside
    08:00 - 08:15 - Breakfast
08:30 - 12:30 - Work (with 30 minute breaks, doing some exercise in the breaks)
    12:30 - 13:30 - Lunch and some rest
    13:30 - 18:30 - Work (with 30 minute breaks)
    18:30 - 19:00 - Dinner
    19:00 - 23:00 - Do whatever (except work)
    23:00 - Sleep

It is difficult to follow a specific daily routine but this would be what I would like to follow in my week days. And in the weekends, some socializing, some sports, some fun and some travel.

    Thanks for posting this...

I have been feeling the need to become more organized with my day to be more productive but have been a bit lazy when it comes down to it... go figure lol. I will definitely make a schedule for myself tonight and implement it tomorrow morning.

    Thanks for the tip!

I use a countdown timer set at 30 mins. Every time it buzzes... I get up and go do some chore or another... and return to the laptop 15 minutes later.
I happened to read about the counter method to stay focused, but the main issue is that for long tasks, it is hard to quit and focus on something else. 30 min is short ..

From the reading of psyco review, your brain can focus on average for 55 minutes straight, increasing by 25 minutes your timer may be profitable for you .

It's great to see schedule examples.
It's everything ok if you don't want to work ALL day, maybe you can do whatever you want just a couple hours a day, not more than that, so you can actually enjoy your day doing some stuff you like.

    Here's my normal IM "Workday".

    8-9AM: Wake up
9AM-10AM: Eat Breakfast, Check Internet, Do Work
    10AM-11AM: Walk around the neighborhood
    11AM-12PM: Rest and Work
    12PM-1PM: Eat Lunch
    1PM-6PM: Work
    6PM-7PM: Eat Dinner
    7PM-9PM: Work
    9PM-9:30PM: Shower
    9:30PM-1AM: Work and then sleep

My relaxing days are mostly the same, but replace work with video games, hanging out, and general goofing off.

Good schedule but I'm going to have to add waking up earlier. I get up around 5am most mornings and I end up getting a ton of stuff done, all before 8am! I guess that's just me though.

You know you have a great balance of things and we share the same love, TV.
I find that if I dont get up at 6 am to visualise, meditate and then have breakfast, half the morning is gone. So, by getting up early I can have 2.5 hours or so to do nothing but meditate, give thanks, visualize my goals and then have a nice breakfast infront of the TV.
by 8am the kids are up and its hectic till 9. I used to get up with them and I found I was only sitting down to breakfast around 10 finishing at 11.30. So the morning wasted! The earlier you get up the more you can get done. Oh, and I don't go to bed before 1am!
