It is a way to keep a roof over my head, put food on the table, and a way to build a secure future.

I think at first it does require a lot of hard work, but over time creating leverage will alleviate this.

LOL thanks for responding! By the looks of your answers, it looks like money isn't really an issue for you. But there are a good number of people here who have such a strong negative view on money that they keep themselves stuck in limitation despite their desire to succeed.

Money is really a serious issue of life but not all the thing...some emotional attachments shouldn't be incorporated with monetary values.cause after all we are human being.

What's interesting for me is that I absolutely don't have a negative view of success or even wealth, but I do have a very negative view of money as we presently know it.

Money as it exists today is a debt-based currency. Scarcity is built into it - i.e., whenever more dollars are created a corresponding and larger amount of debt is created by the Federal Reserve. This means that there's always more debt present in the world than there is money.

So money has scarcity built into it - it encourages hoarding (i.e., right now in America 1% of people own 40% of the wealth).

But the bounty of the earth isn't scarce and doesn't encourage hoarding. Which is not to say that the earth isn't finite but that the resources it offers are self-renewing when not abused.

So there's a fundamental disconnect between the way our money system works and the way real wealth (i.e. natural resources) work.

I'm interested in seeing a world created where no one hoards and where everyone shares in all the beauty and bounty that the earth offers through the use of permaculture systems.

In the mean time, I have to participate in the money system in order to stay afloat in this society. And I'm not too jazzed about that, but I am willing to accept the reality.

Honestly, I can't stand money.

If only we could live in a world where it doesn't exist.

Of course, that isn't going to happen, and, put simply, everyone needs to get some. It's a necessity to keeping a roof over our heads and providing us with essentials.

That's why I'm trying my best to make money.

I honestly dislike money. I hate spending it, I hate saving it, and I hate constantly having to lend it out to so many people.

I wish I can go back to the caveman days where I wouldn't need it and all I would have to do is drink water from a lake or mountain to survive.

I think I have a love/hate relationship with money. In my mind, it's hard to get money despite hard work. It has a direct impact on my life at the moment. I know it's not good to say that money isn't happiness but I know there will be a lot less tears and more smiles if I had more of it in my life. I love money... I see it as a luxury.

Not make a relationship to the money with all thought. There are basically social life and Business different.

Money gives one the freedom to live a full life without regrets, fears or worries while exercising our need to contribute to others.

I have deep respect for rich people who built their business from nothing into something successful. I appreciate money as well, I don't believe there's ever a point in which I could possibly have "too much" of it. Money is just a tool, like anything. You can use it for good or for evil, selfishness or generosity. I know how I plan to use mine, and so I have a good relationship with money.

I feel like my relationship towards money has changed drastically from when I graduated college. When I first got out, my only thought was to get a job that made money. I would just do any work, not really thinking about what made me happy, but how to pay the bills.

While I still care about feeding myself, I feel like my attitudes have matured. I want to be satisfied with the things that I am doing, and not feel like I'm simply comprising myself for the sake of a buck.

Do I still care about money? Hell yes. But I'm trying to not let that go at the expense of my own happiness.

My opinion of money has change in the last 10 years. Since I started doing IM the physical value of money means nothing to me.

I can recall when Adwords first started, I started a campaign and had my daily budget @ $20, I thought $20/day x 7 days, wow thats half my 9-5 paycheck for the week...
Within a few months I was spending $20k/day and I have always looked back on that and remembered how scared I was to spend that first $20.

Money now is nothing more than a tool I use in my daily business. No different than a carpenter uses a hammer and nails, I use a computer and money.

Money is needed for every person in the world, so honestly, i am fond of it. And it is really hard to earn money.

I agree that money is a tool to have the freedom we all need and crave, especially for those we love who have pressing medical bills they can't pay and can't sleep at night. Money is a means to an end, not the end-all to use to entertain ourselves endlessly. That leads to an empty existence. I believe we were created to give to others, but we must have financial means to do that.

Money is important, no doubt even i have paid my bills so i am here with the broadband, if i get hospitalized i need the bills to be paid, i need it to be alive and get going.Yes i differentiate it according to "value:" and "price" -just a currency for that matter to get your daily super market needs.Charity and helping the poors can only come when yours stomach is first full and pockets tight.Its easy sitting back on a leather chair with A/c running and i pods plugged earphones to say -" I do not care about money and money is not so important to me" but just pull off the gadgets and **** the persons boiling red chicks will show it all.
Money is damm necessity but not for the cost of relationship,values and emotions.
Its after all invented by humans and for nature every thing is FREE.

I wish is not this way but it's seems to be the only way for me to be able to live happily without financial burden. I don't know if I should consider money as my ally or enemy in this case..

I've found that enough to not need to check bank balance more than occassionally, knowing there is enough to cover expenses, is the real freedom. It's not about having a lot, and I don't need a luxury car or mansion or the so-called Internet Lifestyle, just knowing there is enough and if I don't go look at the balance today, the bills are being paid, the fridge isn't empty, my family is taken care of, there are things I might want but nothing more that I need - and that's my definition of good fortune as well.

It's easy to make money, but the vibe I pick up from your wording is that your whole perspective seems to be that success or life is only fulfilling if you have money.
If anyone thinks they need money to be happy/is so obsessed with money, then they are in for a rude shock, and wasting their life.

Money is a valuable resource. It should not be an end-in-itself but a means to an end. Too many people make it a source of their self-worth. Having more does not make us more worthwhile and losing it does not make us less worthwhile. If you are a loving and caring person you can do a lot with money to ameliorate the suffering mankind in all parts of the globe. There is so much sickness, starvation, malnutrition, poverty, disability. If every person contributed just one dollar a month we can completely wipe famine from the world. Money is an invaluable resource for good in hand of good people and source of incalculable evil in hand of the wicked.

Wow some good questions and some good thoughts ... I am going to print out these question and really do some thinking about them and then I will post my answers as I do need to find a way to turn my life around and start heading back down the river then my poor boat spinning circles down stream of a waterfall like it is right now ...
