Hi @all,

so i have worked with one guy for over one month. We have earned really good money. Everything was just fine.
Until the day came I never wanted to come. He basically ****ed sth up and now we can't go on with the project. I have worked over half a year to get to this point. I doubt I want to go on with this. I was just happy that I "made" it in the IM world. But somehow when you get this far, it's jsut too hard to stand up again for me.

What do you guys think? Should I quit? Any motivation for me
#quit

    1. What have you learned from working on that project that you can use in the future to be more successful? There's always something. (Write everything down.)

    2. The more difficult it seems to "stand up" again, the more courage and determination it takes, thereby making you a more successful person and a more successful business person.

    3. Consider taking a break, read some "motivation/inspiring" material and come back with a fresh mind.

    4. Remember that every single successful person has dealt with some form of temporary "defeat." It's part of the game. What separates the "successful" is the willingness to keep going. Good luck. : )

This is a really bad feeling - I'm really sorry for you.

I won't tell you go on, come on, and all that empty words.

At present I'm working really hard on my project. It started four months ago, and I am very excited about it. Nowadays, I have made just a few dollars - but it's ok, they will come. If, for any reason, I would lose all my files, it would be a tragedy. So I know how you may feel.

I have spent literally hours and hours in realizing this business, but they were beautiful hours.
Really. I'm not saying this just to console you.
It was simply beautiful doing what I love, because I knew it was well spent time. For two reasons.

1- I was working for my project: this is the feeling I had. When you do something good to improve your financial status, you are fine.

2- I was gaining experience. On the long term, thanks to my hours of work, I have improved my skills. So if I will do something similar in the future, I will do it faster and better.

You haven't lost anything, except your motivation and your momentary work - even if hard!

Wouldn't be foolish had invested so much time in your first project, if you don't want to consider the 2nd point?

Stand up, use it what you have learned: you will do better what you have already done.

p.s. sorry for my bad english.

    Wise words Johnathan.

    Don't quit turtle11!

Remember you can't control what other people do. I'm sorry to hear your partner screwed up a bit.

The important thing is to control what you can control.. yourself, your skills and your motivation. Don't worry too much about other people.. (except your customers of course!)

You will have learned something from this experience. That's always a good thing.

Dust yourself off and take control. You are in charge of your future.. nobody else!

When you are ready to try again, go for it!

Thank you everybody. This is what i have needed now.

To be honest I learnt that I would work in future on my own. Things would be easier for me to know I have screwed them up. I mean you do everything right and then your partner screws it. A really bad feeling

The first time you quit, it's hard. You feel guilty about it so you spend all your time thinking about it until you find the right way to justify it to your conscience. After that it gets easier every time and before you know it you are a genuine quitter.

Nothing wrong with “quitting” temporally. I think everyone experiences that at some point.

The most important thing is to get going again:
(Which is even more successful after taking a break.)

That is the flip side of having a partner. The benefits are great, but it can happen
just like that, to have everything destroyed and you can do nothing about that.

Don't let a few setbacks stop you from accomplishing your goals. Step away for a moment and once you have cooled down ask yourself if your partner made a simple mistake or is he incompetent.

Mistakes happen, Incompetence can't really be helped.

Turtle, the worst feeling in the world is wondering what could have been. Imagine that you quit, think about the possibilities of what COULD HAVE happened. You've done it with a partner, congratulations, you made it. That's something that many people would kill to do. Now is the ultimate test. It's time to stand up on your own and do it without a partner... You already proved that you can.

    With that said, you should quit;

-Quit telling yourself that you can't.
    -Quit procrastinating.
-Quit giving yourself reasons why it won't work.
-Quit feeling bad about the situation and do something about it!
All credits go to Anton Nadilo of the Warrior Forum

Like you said in your first post, you "made" it. Whether you lost it or not, you did it before so you can do it again. The plus side to this, is that now that you've done it, you can do it again faster because you know what worked and didn't work last time. This time, you don't have to share. ALL of the money will go to you for your hard work. You could even outsource some of it if you wanted to. You say it took you guys half of a year. Now that you know what to do, what worked, and what didn't, you should be able to get it done even faster now!

Come on turtle! Get out there and do it again! This time you don't have anything else to fear or worry about because it's just you and your business.

That just sucks... When you find a method that works, something bad happens. I think you should take a week vacation from IM and come back to see if you really want to continue on this field. All you really need is another method to get you back into the IM game again. There are plenty of roads to take in IM, it's almost limitless. I know it's going to be hard. I faced plenty of failures with IM. I keep going because I love research, writing, and if I can help a few people, then it's all worth the tears and frustration. Think about what you love about IM and push yourself forward. If you can't find one thing to continue IM after your vacation, then maybe you should look at other career fields. Don't give up when you hit a rough snag. Bad stuff just happens out of your control. This situation is not your fault so you shouldn't quit because of it. I know it's hard to shake it off but that's what you have to do if you want to continue making money online. Learn from the mistakes of what happened and keep going.

    Good Luck to you...

"Winners never Quit and Quitters Never Win"

No one is going to strike it rich overnight. Internet business is like any business, it takes time and focus to build and sustain. Unlike traditional mortar business the internet is always changing and to keep the income flowing online you have to change and adapt with it.

Decide how you want to earn online, one way at first. 3 most common that come to mind are adsense, cpa, or sell a service.

Focus on one until you have some income, then decide if it is scalable if it is expand it.

    YOU SHOULD QUIT !!!!

I'm a big believer in quitting. I think it's a good thing. You should do more of it.

Yes, I did say quitting and -- yes -- I did say you should do more of it!
Sound odd? I'm not surprised. Maybe it's that neat-o 'survival instinct' of yours kicking in.

Or maybe after years and years of hearing the old saw "A winner never quits and a quitter never wins" bull**** you came to believe it.

After all, from the time, when we were very young children we've been taught that quitting is something negative that "losers do". Real life, however, shows us that quitting is very often a positive force in our lives.

Don't believe me? Try a few of these "quits" and see how much your life improves:

    • Quit doing the things that aren't bringing you the results you want.
    • Quit procrastinating
    • Quit rushing
    • Quit being a "Victim"
    • Quit feeling miserable for yourself (and being miserable about stuff beyond your control).
    • Quit trying to be everything, to do everything, and to have everything.
    • Quit giving less than 100% all the time.
    • Quit blaming others for your lack of success
    • Quit making excuses.
    • Quit listening to excuses.
    • Quit saying "should've... could've... would've"
    • Quit saying “Yes…but”
    • Quit expecting more from others than from yourself.
    • Quit trying to be like everyone else.
    • Quit working overtime.
    • Quit talking when you should be listening.

If you can quit just one of these things, you'll be creating positive action in your life. But you have to quit first!

It's a simple idea most of us overlook: To really be a winner, you have to be able to stop doing stuff that's not good for you!

So quit waiting... and take action!

Hope this helps a few people out on their IM Journey.

    cheers

    Anton

Just because you have come across one bad partner does not mean you should swear off working with partners in the future. You may just have to go about more slowly and carefully.

Partners are all about leverage and you can reach success much faster with the right partner. You can do things you never would have been able to do on your own.

So now you need to regroup, focus on the positive and start thinking positive thoughts more often.

You've gained some great experience and you can only build on it from here.

Sometimes things happen that we can control and change in the future and sometimes they don't. I worked on a project for over four months with promises and held up my end of the deal and never got paid. Lesson learned. Whatever happens you must not give up! Remember all fo the things you have learned and then fix them if you can and move on. Most of the battle is picking yourself up, dusting yourself off and deciding to move on.

Decide by the way, means to "cut off" any other possibility. To decide is to take action and do it no matter what you may face.

Use the pain of what happened to push you further and farther down the road my friend.

    From your sig,
Working on my 3rd million since the first 2 didn't work out

You've messed up the first 2 mil and probably learned so much more from that experience the good (the processes, the money), and the bad (the loss of the money, what processes to improve and what to look for in a partnership) that you will not quit <-- you already possess the knowledge to succeed and how to keep that success the next round Go for it!

Well, you could quit if you think "that's it..."... but does everybody do the same?

Entrepreneurship, IM, etc. are like those motels you check into once in awhile. Everytime you pack your bags to leave, the room is open for someone else to occupy. Or even, every time you get out of the line, the guy behind you moves forward, and you lose all those steps you gained so far.

If you think you "made it" into the IM world, but you're thinking of throwing it all away because of one bad partnership, then you basically struggled for nothing. It's not the time to quit, it's just the time to take stock, fill in the gaps, find out where you went wrong, and work towards success like you did till now.

How many other incomes streams do you have?

In most cases, the frustration and pain to continue is bigger or the biggest when you don't have another source of income.

That's why you should NEVER put all of your eggs in one basket. That's one of the worst things you can do in online marketing.
