Anyone come from the Country that not use the English as official language?

Friends,

I am from Thailand - my country use Thai language. We will use English only during in school or if we need to work with foreigner. So, we quite have a few practice in English. Yes, we can write, speak, listen - but not fluently.

So, when I do the IM online - I sometime have a hard time when need to post review, write article, phone marketing, phone consulting, creating VDO and speak in English, and all. All I can personally do it, but sometime I am struggling with and need to spend much more time than original native speaker.

Just ask others who have had experienced like this, help to share your thought, your motivation or path way to become successful in IM world.

Thanks, Chirdpong

Sure, just ask if you have any queries to clear..

How would you define being successful in IM and what motivates you towards it?

      Hi bleudika,

I am not sure that I am fully understand your questions.

For me, my definition of success is to get the result as your goal.

For me, I need need flexible time rather than 8 hours/ 5 day works per week. I also want some amount of money for make my dream comes true such as living in England to see my favioute team Manchester United every week, go to my favirote places, see my favirote concerts, and much more. Absolutely with my wife.

So, if I work 8 hours/ 5 day, my dreams cannot come true.

Bottom line, my definition of success in IM is to make my dreams come trues by IM.

You have to be clear about your goals.

Like for me, I consider being successful in IM when I earn a minimum of $90,000 per month from IM alone. Why do I want to do that?

        1. Make my parents happy
        2. Have the freedom to do whatever I want and buy anything I want without worrying about the cost
        3. Focus more time on coaching/helping others and also leading by example
        4. Invent a personal flying machine w wings (lol)
        5. Bring the idea of luxury to a whole new level by inventing new ideas in/of luxury.

        These are my motivations

    Hi Chirdpong,

If your question regards the language... I'm not a native speaker of English myself, but I've studied it for a long long time, and even did my higher studies completely in English. So I have a quite high level of English, or that's what I like to think , but I've also learned a couple of other languages along the way, such as Spanish&Dutch.

My advice to anyone trying to get better in a foreign language is to read as much as possible. Read books, e-books about IM will do, read newspapers, magazines, etc - and also watch movies without subtitles, and practice your speaking and writing whenever you have the chance. If you do these on a constant basis you'll get better fast.

Hello Chirdpong, I am from Singapore, pretty near you! I think language shouldn't be a barrier to what you want to achieve in IM. There are marketers from Brazil and Eastern Europe whose native language isn't English and they are producing video courses and holding webinars online. I think mindset is crucial, like what bleudika has mentioned above. If there are really compelling reasons why you want to succeed in the IM scene, regardless of how difficult the process might be, there will be no reason why you can't produce material of quality similar or even better than marketers whose native language is English.

Keep plugging away and don't give up. I wish you all the best in your IM careeer.

      Hi Yee, our neighbor

I agree that the mindset is crucial - it will be the driving force for us to never give up. I have to go to the way that proper to my language limitation in parallel with continuous improve English skill. Now I am focusing on write AMAZON product review, write Video review, or buy PLR to make my site lots of contents. (Yes!, I spend much more time to write only 1 articles )

Video course and webinars - could be next next step after my English is better.

Glad to hear your inputs, hope we will be a good friends for IM world.

    Hi Chirdpong,

I know how you feel completely! I also can't write any product reviews by myself. However, I outsource what I can't do at Odesk. I can get high quality content at very cheap price there.

But one thing, you don't have to be English expert to success with IM. You just have to know how it works. It seems that your English skill is even better than mine.

Why don't you just build a list or write a book on what you expert at? You don't have to be 100% grammar correction in order to write an email. It's about communication and mindset.

I hope you success with IM. Don't focus on just Amazon, there are many ways to make money online.

    Hope this help,

I really do not think language will be a barrier to your success. If there is more passion exist, you can cross any hurdles

Same as you, I too basically from South Asia, and I had completed my higher studies in English. Even, I have better (in my view) writing skills, I do not have much better speaking skills, which never put me down, at the moment, I work as SEO for last 4 years with many guys from US, Europe and Aus - I never felt difficult in communication with them (as far as most of them are in written ). As well as, I do write articles myself for promotion and creating videos and etc as well....

In the mean time, I usually keep on reading forums like this warrior forum and other blogs related to IM and SEO - That obviously gives me more ideas about IM as well as helps to improve my language skills....

So, my point is, to get success in any field, language will not be a barrier. All you need is Effort, hard working, yes of course little bit of luck

Even, You can take film industry as example, There are actors who are acting in other languages which they are not familiar, those actors too get success with their passion towards acting and eager towards success.

Working in a foreign language is always difficult. I remember having to get new computers and keyboards to do business in Polen, Russia and other countries because you could not even write because the letters/characters were not availible on a German or US keyboard. It is still the same and you need Windows or Apple OS in the language installed on the computer to even be able to work. These are problem Americans living in the US can not imagine.

I am an American working in many countries so I see these rpobelms daily.

I wish you luck and can only say the people here are very good and friendly they will be able to help you.

I'm from South Asia. I learned English autodidact from spending time on forums , reading English books, and writing diary in English until it becomes a second nature. In fact I was once an English teacher for teenagers before jumping to IM.
