How you greet the day.

The day before yesterday I woke up to the news on the radio and from then on I had a real bad day. I decided something had to change. How often was I sleeping through the news and listening subconsciously? I first changed the time to 5 minutes after 6. Then I changed the station to classical.

Yesterday morning I woke up to classical and a smile on my face. I had a great day.

This morning I woke up with a bit of a chuckle and got out of bed with a dance in my step. I know today is going to be another great day.

Just wanted to share.
How are you starting your day?

I actually start my day with some rock or pop punk music. Something upbeat to get me awake and moving.

I'm ending this day wondering why I'm reading multicolored comic sans though...lol.

Cool. Upbeat music is great. That helps me through the day when I'm doing chores that are not very exciting; like cleaning and so on.

I hope you enjoyed the funny writing. It was just that I had such a great day and wanted to express it.

I generally wake up in the morning with a song in my head, so my mind is all ready singing~ then I start the day reading out of the Bible or a devotional book such as "Streams in the Desert" by Cowman. If I don't take the time to do this, it tells on me throughout the day in my attitudes and actions.

I wake up every morning with an attitude of gratitude. So when I open my eyes I take a few moments to thank God for waking me and my family up, for the sun shining, and a bunch of other things that come to mind.

It's amazing to me how much better my days have been since I started my mornings out being thankful. That's not to say obstacles don't still pop up from time to time, but my attitude toward them is completely different because of how my day starts off.

I think the best way to wake up with ZING and PASSION for life is go to bed with one.....

Every night I visualize the life I want and see it (with every fibre of my being) coming towards me. I then wake up feeling powerful and focused to get the job done.

The way I start my day is very important. I like to set my alarm to my favorite music instead of that annoying noise. I also try to start the day with meditation. That helps me to begin with peace instead of chaos.

With some rock music, just to get me started. then lying in bed, thinking about my day, and things I have to do. Make a plan and execute it!

I wake up and read the IM todo list I wrote down yesterday evening. Then, breakfast, and work or IM.

I am a firm believer in the todo list. My little red book has kept me achieving the items I need to do. Before that little todo notebook, I would procrastinate.

It's what you do when no one is watching
that determines what you will be able to
    do when everyone is watching.

I usually greet the day with post rock music. Hammock is one of my favorite artist and I frequently listen to their songs in the mornings. Sometimes when I have a feeling that I'm going to have a stressful day at my part time job, I listen to electronic music to get me motivated, or at least have one great moment before starting the day.

I guess it makes a difference, in general, how we wake up and what we do with our minds before we sleep.
Gary Joseph; I've started going to bed with powerful thoughts of what I can do and it makes a difference.

Meditation..such a calming way to start the day and making sure that my thoughts are positive and full of gratitude for everything that I have in life..whether it's the air we breathe or the smell of a fresh pot of coffee, it's taking the time to notice and appreciate

I start my day with a morning jog after a quick banana, it does wonders to help give me energy throughout the day, though currently my knee is busted so I'm waiting for it to heal up

A roll over followed by another 10 to 20 minutes of sleep.

Next, a smile and a cup of coffee.

I've actually juuuuuuust started something new.

The other day my coach asked wheat's been holding me back and I knew the answer. We all know how tough it can be getting stuff done on the internet can be without proper focus. There's too much hilarious sh*t to turn down sometimes . I figured I'd start my day off looking at funny stuff to put me in a positive mood, but that only led to MORE funny, unproductive stuff. And then even more.

Essentially, I'd put myself in the mindset of procrastination instead of motivation. Not where ANYONE here belongs. So I bought some motivational mp3s and today was the 2nd day I went for a morning walk and listened to them. I think it is an AWESOME way to start the day and I highly recommend it to anyone. I'm now motivated and don't want to move backwards, so staying away from the time wasting stuff.

I plan to continue working this way for a long time.
