Starting this Sunday, I'm Putting the Laptop Down.

I feel as though I might be in a forum filled with like minded people, who find themselves on their computers a little too much, but still enjoying it.

I work most days of the week, long hours. But it doesn't feel like work.

However I have noticed that outside of the Internet Marketing world, I have lost sight of having a good time.

So from this Sunday, I will be putting the laptop down. I will not be working, writing articles or courses. I will in effect be cutting myself off from work.

Instead?

I have a DSLR I never really got around to using, there are books people have sent me that I have never read, there are some real interesting things going on here in Austin, and I am going to do them.

This post probably wont mean much to anyone, but to me I feel as though this is a fairly important change in my life!

I hear ya. I definitely need to do something like that. As much fun as this "work" is, I need some time to have real fun and get away from the internet.

This is the nature of the beast. It can hard to balance the offline activities with the online world.

I'm actually excited for you, only thing is if you put the laptop down you will not be able to update us on your progress.

It's extremely important that you make this change. You shouldn't be putting all this work in and not being able to enjoy your life. I also dedicate my Sundays to church and spending the rest of the day enjoying myself amongst my friends. Feels great to recharge every weekend and then come back strong.

There definitely comes a time when you need to use the off switch on the computer and wander outside for some fresh air. Failure to do so results in cobwebby brain and stale writing. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy~

    Enjoy your day off!
