What's a Miracle to you?

My friends and I were talking about this the other day. I always had the idea that a Miracle was the Angels appear in the middle of the night, their wings swepting back and forth and a soft but powerful voice says "Build a childrens hospital". Well now I think the miracle is the small voice in your head that tells you to skip the cookie when your on the diet..... It's that small voice that speaks gently that you need to be peaceful when times are hard. It tells you everything is all right. The hard part is believing it and when you do that's the Miracle! It changes your life before your very eyes. You choose to listen and act on the voice that lives with you day and night.

What is a Miracle to you?

A miracle is when I produce a strain of guppies that the world has never seen before. Thats my hobby guys.

In the most general terms, it is something hugely positively impactful to you that happens without you expecting it.

A miracle to me is when I think of something complicated and put it into action.
I get such a sense of pride in myself, and it's sorta like a miracle I suppose.
A good example is when I started in IM and had a set plan and it all fell into place.
It was sorta like a miracle to me

I went to my little church today in Tampa and our Rev. DJ was diagnosed with lung cancer and liver cancer about 5 months ago around Easter. We have been praying for her ever since and she is so sweet. This morning she told us the lung cancer was gone, no signs of it left. She is now working on the tumors in her liver. Using both Western and Eastern modalities she is doing well. She is one of the most positive people I have ever meant. Bless her heart.

      Now that is a Miracle!!

          Thanks Ireen,

Most people don't believe that their thoughts have anything to do with the state of their body. If we could ever begin to believe that we would all be healthier. My brother taught me years ago how thoughts can change your reaction. He would tickle my feet until it hurt and one day he said to me think that your feet aren't ticklish. It worked from then on he couldn't get me to respond and cry by tickling my feet. It worked and I learned a powerful lesson that I have used all of my life. You do affect your body by your thinking.

I'm glad to hear that your daughter is home and safe....

            Right On!!!

Our thoughts, kept ever positive, along with gratitude for the blessings and opportunities we are all presented with everyday upon the horizon of God's sunrise can work wonders - miracles to some.

I was diagnosed back in 1990 with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and told I had 12 - 18 months. It's now been 18 years, and although still being treated for cancer, I now perceive it as nothing more than a minor inconvenience in the larger pattern of what my future WILL be. After all, I could get run over by a bus tomorrow. Only when God decides to put His period at the end of my earthly life . . . yours, too . . . will the miracles of my life - your life - cease.

For me, a miracle is when you have been wishing for something possible to happen and you do not really have any control of how things would come true. And then one day you would just realize that you are already in that wish you have been dreaming. I have experienced these miracles a number of times and I really can't believe how things become possible. I think it is my faith that is bringing me to my fate.

Miracles happen every day. We may not realize that it is a miracle. There are times, it is quiet and subtle, other times it is very obvious. It can also happen to anyone. It doesn’t matter who you are and what your beliefs are.

Miracle is an amazing or wonderful occurrence. It is an event or happening that manifests a supernatural act of a divine agent. It is when the impossible happens or when our prayer has been answered.

Miracle to me is simply to be alive, to know that we are the masters of our six sense, to wake up in the morning sometimes feeling down most of the time feeling great, to go through our day sometimes experiencing good at times tasting the bad, to go home to family at the end of day to share the love , joy and sometimes anguish,to close our eyes to sleep knowing that we have experience the day in all its glories and to know that tomorrow is a brand new day again...good or bad

Great threads...It seems that you are saying the having gratitude in the little things, or just noticing the little things in life are a miracle. I really like that perspective.
I think the internet is a miracle...may sound petty, but here me out. I would never have the opportunity to connect with you or anybody else on this level without it. Our relationships were limited to a very small community just 10 years ago. You can learn so much by stepping outside of your community, right?

I just marvel at how powerful our minds are to create. Think about how technology has hit that j curve over the last few years...

truly amazing. Speaking of Cancer and technology... my father in law passed last year from cancer. I want to mention what a blessing caringbridge was... it is a website that allowed everyone to send messages and support. It also allowed his girls to have an avenue to express their feelings. We were also able to understand how many people my father in law touched over the years. He was completely astonished when he found out he had over 2000 messages from friends on caringbridge.... Please recommend that service to anyone who is going through that horrible experience.

The Miracle of Life for me is: we swim "struggle" and against huge odds, hit the target, (the egg) and we're "conceived" as a feeling, thinking, experiencing human being from that instant of conception. From there we rapidly grow-it's totally amazing!- and when the time is ripe, we're "born into this-world, our-world of so-called reality. Is it reality? No! Something (perhaps it was we ourselves) beyond our consciousness chose to bring us here." Who can know that?

We do/can know this though; if we place ourselves, stand on, on 24" squares beneath us and all the way to the left of where we are standing on one in the center, is our past. The center where we are standing, is the eternal present and everything to our right in our future..

                  Dwell in the present...

Now see the future. Is it not a reflecion of your present? Is it not true reflecion of your most innermost thoughts, feelings, emotion a intentions right now?

Can you now see how your thoughts, feelings, beliefs, values have brought you here?

I think the internet is a way for the worlds people to reach out to each other and embrace our differences. As we get to know others in different countries we begin to have a larger interest in how things play out through our governments. We begin to understand that we are truly all connected. I don't think your idea about the internet is petty at all. When we look through the small stuff to the big picture this could be the key to creating a more peaceful, caring and loving world.

Yes, it is a miracle that I wake up in the morning, and able to my tasks.

For all intents and purposes, I treat each day as a miracle. I may be an optimist, but I've had my share of downtimes, downsizing and a near depression. But with the help of friends and my family, I've gotten into business for myself and staying at home at the same time. That I can do that is not just a luxury but another miracle all on it's own.

No need to go far looking for miracles.

A miracle for me is losing yourself in such challenges that are deemed hopeless and bringing yourself back to reality and meeting these challenges head on. Everybody has said a lot about how we treat life and how we treat each day as an opportunity to rise above our struggles. To provide food and shelter for family is the most common needs that we have, and the miracle is that we can help other people achieve such goals through any type of business, even beyond online marketing. Other noteworthy miracles would be giving advice to people who fell harder than most of us can imagine and re-ignite a sense of purpose as to why they have to fail and then succeed in life after they find themselves on the right path to achieving results.

Just like what God told Bruce in that movie, "Be the Miracle!"

      Miracles are all around us.

Taking sunshine and turning it into food that produces trees and flowers is a miracle.

Taking kibbles and turning them into warm, loving puppies is a miracle.

Taking the wind and having it blow through harp strings, making music that is unique and powerful is a miracle. Spooky, but a miracle.

Finding something to learn from every single person that walks this earth is a wonderful miracle.

Watching a frog swim through a pool of water is a miracle. Having a butterfly land on your arm for a second is a miracle.

Life is a series of wonders. Of miracles.

And just because we can understand why a miracle such as a rainbow happens - that doesn't make it any the less a miracle!

I want to be a miracle to help make someone else's life better.

I am a miracle and so are you.

We sometimes get so wrapped up in life that we forget how precious it is.

Breath...the act of breathing is the miracle that always comes to mind when I am seeking to refocus and slow the wheels of insanity that drive me through the day.

That's the stuff that makes life awesome. Yet it is so quiet and seemingly insignificant that we overlook it. Isn't that what we wait for when a new baby is born? Isn't that what we miss when someone passes away?

Thanks for pausing with me today. Now, just breathe!

To me a miracle is when the Spirit works to make a change in our lives. As a spiritual person it was no surprise when I was told to pray for my son's broken finger. It had been broken twice before and the bone in his thumb was split lengthwise so it had never really healed properly.

This particular day I was with a friend when the call came from his school to come and pick him up because he had broken his finger. When I arrived it was hugely swollen, badly bruised and hanging loose from his hand. I took him home, sat him in the chair and rebuked the injury in Jesus name. (That is the name of the Spirit).

As we watched the swelling went down, the bruising faded and the thumb jerked back and forth and went into place. From that moment on he has done things with that finger that he had not been able to do since it was first broken. Within an hour of my picking him up he was back at school beaming from ear to ear and showing his teachers and peers his finger.

That was not the only miracle that day as the cat had a huge abscess on her neck. The Spirit told me to pray for it too and within a minute or so the sore was weeping puss and she licked at at until about an hour later when there was no sign of it.

There are many other examples of instant healing I can tell you about for anyone interested. You can PM me if you wish. Sometimes the power has worked through emails for people who have contacted me from overseas.

    God bless

        Hi Norma,

I know where you are coming from because in Christ, there is neither male nor female and as we walk in the spirit of Christ we walk in the spirit

and in the resurrection we will be sexless like the angels.

God is a spirit and they that worship Him (not it) must worship Him in spirit and in truth.

Christ has been given as the head of the body of Christ
        and the role

of Father as protector and provider as expressed in man's spiritual covering or headship is distinctly male.

If a body had 2 heads it wouldn't be able to make an authoritative decision and we all are joined together with Christ who is the head
        and the Son of God.

Yes, as many as who receive him He has given to become the sons of God.

I don't know what part of His word you were disagreeing with, but I'm established in the truth immovable streadfast and yet respect your decision to disagree if you do and celebrate your decision to agree if you do also!

PS. Great testimony about the miracle you did in the name of Jesus.

I have been fortunate enough to watch my four children being born. That is a true miracle to me; the beginning of life! My emotions have always overwhelmed me in every birth, even though all the births have occurred over an 18 year span.

I also like the gratitude in everything spin people have put on this thread. Because every moment of our lives is truly a gift. This includes both the little things and the big things.

    I love this quote:

Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful. - The Buddha

      I love this thread!

To me a miracle is when something happens in the physical world that
can't be explained by the natural laws of the physical world. Relates to
a book I'm reading by Wayne Dyer, Real Magic.

Like when my brother-in-law had half of his malignant brain tumor
removed by surgery and refused radiation to get rid of the rest.
Instead, he felt something happening in his head during a healing
service at his Methodist Church. His next x-ray showed that the
remaining half of the tumor was gone...

Or when I was agonizing years ago over not having enough money
for some basic bills, and I found $300 on the ground by the tire of
      my car...

This is such a beautiful post you know, for everyone of us to be expressing our views on what we think a miracle is.

From God's perspective, it is what no human being can do which only HE can. Most of us have expressed some of these in our replies above.

But the greatest miracle I suppose is when a sinner turns to God and repents of his/her sin.
Can you immagine a man or woman who was bound by the power of alcohol, or drug or any such thing, suddenly change to become a child of God?
Oh! No other thing is as beautiful as seing such people turn to Jesus Christ.

Doug, 'Jesus' is the oldest name for Spirit. It was stolen by the Romans for their god but it originally came from 'i-s' or 'eye of light'. In the normal manner of doubling sounds for increased potency it became 'is-is' and as there is no [j]in the Latin language it only became 'j-s-i-s' in the Germanic and English.

Its all detailed in the books on my research into the origin of language and religion. God is no man and is more offended by calling IT 'he', with reference to the male ego of creating a male god that man can manipulate and murder, than by using the non-sexist pronoun.

As a spiritual person to me the name of God is 'Jesus' because it is Spirit and in that name it heals, supports, teaches, and gives peace, love and everything else we humans require. That is the miracle.

Your stories about some of the healings you've experienced were impressive. I have an idea of the words that you used as you focused on the ailment. Would you be willing to share with us your thoughts (images) and feelings at the the time of the healing? What were you mentally focusing on and visualizing at that time? How would you describe your feelings as this took place?

I hope you don't find these questions intrusive - they're meant to help clarify and gain a better understanding of the process you follow.

Thank you Vicone. I am always happy to help others find the Spirit.

Right now it is all over me because of your question and you may feel the tingles and sensation as you read this, because often people do.

Healing power starts with a massive sensation of energy entering the body. It might be just through a limb or from the top of the head down. As it comes through my body picks up on where it is and what it is doing. If there is a blockage I become aware of it.

Blockages are caused by doubt or fear in the one being healed. usually, however, they get instant healing and don't have time to doubt.

Can I ask if you need healing or are searching for the Spirit. My latest book is all about spiritual power.

If you want to PM me please do.

A miracle is everyday having life. I try to get out everyday and walk. I love the silence of the early morning. I enjoy the great things everyday brings. Its so many things!

My kids, my wife, the grass outside our house, the warm breeze where we live. Its the sun shining on my face. Pretty girls walking by. The internet! Warrior Forum. Praying when I am alone. My clients. The rain. The list is endless. Life is good people.

The Miracle of Life probably the most missed part of our existence. So many times we forget to stop and smell the roses. And when this happens we miss the miracles that happen everyday all around us. I refuse to forget the blessings life has bestowed on me and mine. It seemed to me that the words were not as important as the intent and you would gain the same results whether they were uttered in English, French, Chinese, or Hindi. So I appreciate the clarification.

As for your offer of a healing, I thank you, though I'm in excellent health and my anxieties are low. People do say that they find my presence calming but this may be a polite way of saying my personality is an effective soporific!

          Again, many thanks.

          Ivan

For me a miracle is not only the small voice inside you. It is the voices of other people that provide you support and love. Someone from above tells them what to say to you so that you will know the right thing to do. That for me is a miracle

Vicone, it is not the words that heal nor is it I or anyone else. Only the Spirit heals and only the Spirit knows the intent in the heart.

    God bless.

Erik, you are already walking in the Spirit when you appreciate nature, life and what has been given to us for free.

    God bless

Norma, it seems to me that you do yourself a disservice and that this is an opportunity for self-appreciation rather than self-effacement.

That you had a role to play is clear, whether this is as a conduit, channel, or connection. If "Spirit knows the intent in the heart", surely YOU are the one with the intent.

Please don't sell yourself short. It would appear that your role is a key and a significant one that Spirit would acknowledge. Recognizing this would not be pride, but honesty.

All of you have some interesting concepts about what a miracle is. My thoughts fall more in line with the little things that we don't pay close attention to. We are looking for something and don't realize that we are the miracle. It can be very dangerous to always be looking for something, because believe me, the enemy (satan) will give you something to look for. Remember, he has some power too, and a third of the angles fell with him. of course, he is no match with the Lord, but he does have power. Look around is all you have to do, and you will see a lot of mess in this world caused by him.

The biggest miracle of them all was the "resurrection." We all deserve to go to hell, but because of Him, we can be spared enternal damnation. But only thru Him. Laugh if you may, but one day you won't be laughing. He is the healer, however, be careful always looking for a "feeling." I know that some will disagree with me, but that's your choice. One day your knees will bow and your tongue will confess that "Jesus is Lord" to the glory of God the Father.

PS. Call Him the rose of sharon, the bright and morning star, the lilly of the valley, he,she,or etc... I just call him "Jesus" the greatest name I know....He is the miracle!

Oh dear, it is such a big topic but I stand by what I said. I have never learned spiritual healing and my direction comes from the Spirit. It is not me who seeks others out but the inner voice that leads me to them. For me to take any credit at all is to deny the power that is the main focus here. I am only a cog in a wheel of humanity and so many others know the wonderful feeling of healing power.

People come to me because the power directs them and not because I ooze charm or radiate something. Likewise I can be sent to them. My job has been made clear. I do as I am instructed, nothing more and nothing less. It is the Spirit that heals. Likewise I have peace, love and understanding to follow and give myself freely.

Norma's description brought to mind an image of an Electric Power Station providing a source of energy to a room which is lit by a well-placed light bulb. The station is well aware of its might and power and doesn't feel threatened by the relatively insignificant bulb; rather it recognizes and values the contribution of the bulb for, without it, sending bolts of lightning to illuminate a room would be a poor substitute.

In producing light which is useful to the occupants of a room, the role of the bulb might appear to be a small one as, by itself, no light is emitted. Yet its participation is vital as, when connected to a power source, the form in which the energy is received is converted to one which can be enjoyed by the occupants - light.

That image caused me to consider that, for practical purposes, if the power supply is continuous, there needs to be a means of switching the power on or off as the lighting is not always required. If the power is not continuous, connection needs to be made when power is required. With light bulbs, an on/off switch is an easy solution. However, how do humans connect with their inner source of power when required? It seems that an alignment is needed to make the connection. As I'd like to offer some generalized comments about this, I'll make that a separate post.

Norma, thank you for shedding further light on this subject.

            Dear Ivan,

You almost have it right except that there is no turn on turn off button for me. That means that people connected to the Spirit are always turned on and usually others are attracted to the light. This is why many perfect strangers roam up to me in the street or shopping centers and begin conversations that lead to inquiries about spiritual power.

I have just written an article about this for goarticles whereby I explain how the Spirit will also send me to people who are searching for the truth. Probably that is the switch that people are looking for. That truth is turned off by fiction and make-believe. Money is the greatest killer of spiritual power and helping others and giving of yourself freely is a way to the light.

            Hope this helps

Well now I think the miracle is the small voice in your head that tells you to skip the cookie when your on the diet..... It changes your life before your very eyes. You choose to listen and act on the voice that lives with you day and night.

Everyday is a miracle - the very fact that I've even got the consciousness to type this omg.

I think ppl should stop looking at "miracles" as if it was something out-of-the-ordinary. I mean, why can't the ordinary be extraodinary - who are we to even define what is cool enough to be a miracle or not.

I reckon just look around yourselves aye - be thankful for everything!!! I mean every single thing aye! It's probably make you a lot happier as a person jst to know tat everything is wonderful and "miraculous".

Yeah - jst start living it out, in whatever shape or form - you don't need a reason or a miracle!!

    Peace out
