Movies that make you feel grateful, motivated and content

Last night I watched "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas". Fair to say I was really sad (and I'll admit it.... teary) throughout the movie. The movie really made me appreciate the life I have and also, the period of time in which I am living. I feel so happy that I can lead the life I want with, essentially, nothing stopping me.

What are some movies that you feel make you feel grateful, content, motivated.

Some of my favorites are:

Freedom Writers
Atonement
Slumdog Millionaire
A Walk to Remember
Crash
Precious
Good Will Hunting
Life is Beautiful
The Blind Side
.... and of course;
Forest Gump
The Green Mike
The Shawshank Redemption

I've never seen Working Girl or the Boiler Room..... right... you've added them to my "to watch" list.

They are both old, but have been motivating for me. Both have a lot to do with sales. I have worked on sales floors that encouraged people to watch The Boiler Room. I would leave my favorite quote, but I might offend someone.

I've just come back from the video store and got Boiler Room. I'll watch it this week and let you know what I think!

          Thanks so much!

You are right....Will Smith always inspires me. If you Google him on Youtube, you can get inspired by the stories of how his father treated him and taught him how to work harder than anyone...

Also, Facing the Giants is an awesome movie about not giving up and "preparing for the rain" in faith when you can't see it, but you believe it anyway.

Wall Street and the famous quote :-

"When a Man Stares Into the Abyss and sees nothing but darkness, this is the time that he finds his character. And it is his character, that keeps him from falling into the abyss."

This is a quote hanging on my office wall - it has been an inspiration to me.

I like to watch Second Hand Lions.

It's a happy feelgood movie that also brings home the power of believing, creativity and thinking outside the box.

"Modern Times", by Chaplin is one which I love always for the great theme he has with a real life touch! Must watch movie! And this is the only movie (other than "The Great Dictator", another big one by Chaplin.) where we can hear Chaplin's voice (singing a song).

WIZARD OF SPEED AND TIME - look for it on you tube or VHS.

The short segments such as THE WIZARDS RUN are packed full of positive subliminals.

I remember when I first saw it- looking for a kids movie plus I always love super hero flicks, so WOSAT seemed like a good bet from the video store.

LOVED it and felt SO GOOD after seeing it.

Bought the VHS and found myself watching it over and over- for no apparent reason!

The FEEL GOOD and YOU CAN ACHIEVE ANYTHING subliminal's must work!

I have to say that Shawshank Redemption is great. It lets you root for the underdogs and that is a powerful thing.
If you liked Shawshank Redemption I thin you will also like Sling Blade.
