How I Broke The Role of PROcrastinator and Acheived Massive Success

WOW. I can't believe I have been here in the forum for sometime and have yet to be in the Mind Warriors thread.

Probably because I didn't have my own mind right!!

lol...

I'll keep this short. Am I an expert Tony Robbins Goo Roo genius that has all this stuff figured out?

Heck no.

I'm still trying to improve a little more each day and I've got loads to go to get to where I want to be.

But I have been able to do a few small things that made a big difference this past year. I went from doing very little productive to launching many products, achieving WSO of the Day, making tens of thousands online, building a decent sized list, and a nice Offline Business that supports me full time.

More than anything it just feels plain good, no incredible, to set a plan and actually DO. Actually take action ya know?

So how did I do it and how can it help you?

For one, I was in a tough spot. I HAD to make it work. I had the bottom drop out of my Construction business and my bank account was at zero.

I decided to get into Offline Marketing and to call up a few businesses. Thing was I knew exactly what I needed to do but still for probably a week I couldn't get myself to take action.

Frustration and depression was building.

I'll tell you a simple but game changing thing that gave me the shift.

I asked myself " On a scale of 1-10 how will I feel if I don't make a single call today?"

I said to myself like a 2 or something.

Then I said "On a scale of 1-10 how will I feel if I just make 1 call? If I just pick up the phone and dial a single number and talk to someone?"

I said like a 12!!

Then I asked what's the worst that could happen.

If I do nothing then I'll get nothing and will actually lose a lot. But if I start taking massive action, even if people are rude, cuss, whatever worst case is, I found out that it's not really that bad!

The upside potential far exceeded the downside.

I am not promoting cold-calling or anything, this is just when the shift occurred.

I think it happened because it took "ME" out of the equation. My fears were not logical or even real. It was all in my head. I had to step back and look at it logically.

That simple little action got me started on an amazing path.

The next thing is systems. With no system you have no chance of being happy or making money.

What's your system now?

We all know the basics. We need to get leads, we need to convert them, and then they need to buy.

Simple as that.

So if you're current system is cruise Warrior Forum, buy 5 products this week, check email every few minutes, go to Facebook, rinse and repeat, well that's a pretty crappy system that accomplishes nothing to grow a real business.

So a better system could be reach out to 5-10 new potential customers today via xyz, build business relationships, send traffic to website via ads, or jv's, test to improve conversions, have a true irresistible offer that will build raving fans...

Yea that's a rough run down but you get the point.

What's the daily system that is simple and that you can WORK.

And work is the final point. Without work, you'll get NOTHING done.

Massive action get's massive traction.

You've gotta strap down, eliminate the distractions, chunk down your goals til you know exactly what to do and then attack that thing like a freakin' beast!!

I've rambled enough so I'll save some more for another day.

In short, YOU'VE GOT THIS!!! GO OUT AND CRUSH IT!!

Brandon, love this post! As a fellow offliner..you're so right, I feel like we all through many of the same struggles when trying to build a business-regardless if it's online or offline.

Awesome idea about the "on a scale" test..really helpful tip, I'll have to give it a shot for sure.

It all comes down to your quote (massive action get massive traction) which is very similar to my own mantra--take action and create momentum!

Awesome read, just motivated me to get buckle down and destroy my "get done" list

Thanks Tamil. I truly believe anyone can get where they want if they can follow simple steps and take constant action without ever giving up.

10x is a book I love by Grant Cardone. Highly recommend the book or Audible version. Tis rocks.

Thanks for sharing Brandon. I'm going through a major struggle right now, and with the guidance of an awesome mentor and gaining strength from what seems to be a Forum that matches it's name, full of Warriors, I hope to be providing and boosting other peoples morale myself again in the near future.

You've got the positive and Warrior attitude buddy. I hope you achieve massive success and I know that you can.

Stick to that Mentors words and take MASSIVE ACTION with anything he says, granted that he's a documented pro at what you're trying to accomplish.

Nothing beats focused action in my opinion. If you can add value to the world in some field and take massive action to get it out there, then you'll crush it.

Sounds like you're in good hands, but shoot your plan of attack over to me if ya want and I'd be happy to check it out.

      Massive Success to ya!

      Brandon

You remind me of myself, Brandon

The way I beat procrastination is I change the way I think about my goal so that it becomes much less "scary" and also easy achiveable.

For instance, you're in the selling game. And you have to cold call. You know that without cold calling, you won't sell. And selling is your goal. You also know that you average 1 sale/100 calls.

The equation for beating procrastination is right there, infront of our eyes...

    SUCCESS = SALE = 100 CALLS

Now if you think that all you have to do for the day is make 100 calls (regardless of whether you make 5 sales or 0) to call the day a success - it becomes way less scary, doesn't it?

So next time, break your goal into consequential tasks and don't even worry about whether you're going to "get" what you want, or not.

Focus on giving your best. And the law of average will take care of the rest

    My 2 cents,
    Zannix

Great post Brandon and congrats on your success. You touched on quite a few things there and it just shows what can be achieved when you combine the right mindset with a plan and focused action. It's tough to think with a clear head when times are tough but you overcame that by "feeling the fear and doing it anyway".

Making a plan and breaking down your goals into actionable steps is what's working for me too. I find that now I have a good plan in place I try not to question the plan itself and instead look at the results I get to guide me. Taking action is a great way to beat the procrastination monkeys too.
