What strategy should I take?

Hi, I'm facing a problem that I think many others may have had, I'm in the planning process to launch an online biz idea, and even though I know quite a lot about IM already everyday I keep finding things that I didn't know, so I spend my time with this. Seems like I will never learn it all and I feel I want everything 100% planned and ready before launch.

Thing is, should I keep learning and learning and then I start putting my idea to practice??? Or I should get on with it now, isntead of trying to have absolulately everything under crontol before launch???

Hope to have made me understood, english is not my first language!
Has anyone been in this situation? What did you do and was it the right decision?

Thanks.

I think your facing information overload. The sea of knowledge is vast you cant learn every just follow only one method and start applying it but make sure you analyzed it carefully before you start working on it.

Hey Cup, I would focus on doing only the steps absolutely necessary to implement your idea and make it available to the public. You will learn far more in the process of actually running your business than trying to learning everything before you get started.

I've been in your situation as I'm sure many others have when they got started with IM. What did I do? Wasted about 3 years trying to learn everything before starting to do anything. Don't make the same mistake!

There is no end to the IM learning rainbow. I learnt a lot in 3 years studying internet marketing but without anything tangible to show for it. On the other hand I've made more progress in the last 3 months working on various projects than 3 years of thinking about it

I highly recommend launching whatever project you are working on as soon as possible. That way any learning you do along the way will directly impact and help expand your business instead of simply growing your mental knowledgebase of "things I might do".

    Best of luck.

If you have the business idea and some IM knowledge the best you can do is to start put it in practice. Just start to do it. You can always improve it after the start.

Many IM-er just not have enough capital to outsource everything to professionals and buy a complete solution. But they have the possibility to act on what they know. According to my observation it works often.

    Good luck!

You have to follow the energy of what feels lighter to you. There are small things you can begin to do that will help to bring your idea full circle.

Ask yourself what the first step is and then move forward. You'll never know everything you "think" you need to know. Just take continuous action...that's the key.

Learning through mistake is the best process of learning. As you said, you know a lot regarding IM but you have not yet start doing that. That means your knowledge is only bookish. Practical world is far different than the bookish one. Lets start with your knowledge and improve your skills and learning through practical process.

As a quote that i have heard before "imperfect action is better than no action". You need to take action if your feeling fairly comfortable with your product otherwise you will keep changing updating and never launching..theres is always room for version 2.0 etc! Good luck and get it going

I agree with others commenting on your thread - If you are waiting for everything to be 100% then you will be waiting a long time - just as you finish one part there will be another thing that is not quite right and that will take your time and attention.

As long as your project is fit for purpose then that is enough to launch it. If you are genuine too people will accept your efforts.

You clearly seem to be someone that likes learning and the knowledge you will get from launching your product will be far more than you could ever get by reading up on other information.

It's one thing to know something but it's a totally different thing to actually do it - that's how you find out if you really do know what you think.

Best of luck with your project - I hope it goes really well for you.
