I always enjoy these types of pep talks. Reminds me of High School right before football games. Sure, we lost a hell of a lot; but we still went out there pumped as hell.

How inspiring! We must always remember that failure is only a temporary setback not a defeat. Let's all remember that "Every adversity, every failure and every heartache carries with it the Seed of an equivalent or a greater Benefit", so let's keep pushing forward.

I don't have a video to offer you some motivation at the moment, but I can share something that keeps me going.

No matter what the setback or turmoil it causes, there is nothing more true than this statement.

      This too, shall pass.

Yep, my sweet Mama Elizabeth used to say that to me a lot, "And this, too, shall pass." The minute I feel uncomfortable, feel pain, feel resistance, etc., I hear her sweet voice in my head urging me on with this quiet, indestructible truth.

There was something very nostalgic about that video. Brought me back to my days playing basketball. I don't mean to seem like a sap, but that ALMOST brought tears to my eyes lol. But what a great message to start my morning. Let us all go through the pain with our heads held high knowing that we will one day make it to the sky.

Great video, thanks! This reminds me of a couple of expressions I've heard over the years, which have personally impacted me on a deep level:

"One way or another, we experience pain: Either the pain of guilt that comes from knowing that we are not doing what we should be doing or the pain of actually doing what needs to be done."

"Pain is nothing more than weakness leaving the body."

    No pain, No gain.

I will have to disagree here, but I do not believe the "no pain, no gain" philosophy and it worked great so far for me since I changed that view. Yes it can be true for things like sports, because for example in Muay Thai, there is no way you can compete unless you numb your shin by kicking a hard bag every day!

There are quite bit of very respectful teachers and successful people out there who never believed in "no pain, no gain", just to support my view.

If you always put limit on everything you do, physical or anything else. It will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them... BRUCE LEE
