The 365 Day Challenge, The New Way To Live. Day 1.

Hey guys, I thought that I might begin sharing something with you! So I've spent the last 150 days improving myself, and decided that I should teach everyone lesson that I learn each day! So each day I'm going to post a challenge from my website and by completing it you should grow and improve yourself at a massive rate!

P.S. These are the old posts from The 365 Day Challenge, I've made the new and improved super awesome one, so if you would like to check it out just go to the365daychallenge . com

Without further adieu, here is your first challenge!

Michael Jordan is known as the greatest basketball player of all time, but it wasn’t always like that.

Michael Jordan was actually cut from his high school basketball team for not being good enough. But Michael was passionate about basketball. He wanted to get into his high school team. He wanted to be the best. For months he focused on one little area at a time, slowly improving bit by bit. He went from being cut from the high school basketball team to being the greatest basketball player in the world.

“I’ve failed over and over again in my life, and that is why I succeed.” – Michael Jordan

Expand that story to your own life. If you want something, then go for it. Improve one step at a time like Michael did and you’ll be the best in the world in no time.

“I can accept failure, everyone fails at something. But I can’t accept not trying.” - Michael Jordan

Commitment is a word that is surrounded by a lot of negative associations. This cannot be further from the truth! People who have the willpower to commit to something they want are the people who get it. Michael Jordan could have thrown in the towel after being kicked from the basketball team, but he chose the other route. The route of commitment, and look at him now.

The Goal;

To commit to the 365 day challenge

The Benefits;
  1. Commitment is something that is terribly important in life and yet not many people can achieve it. But when you do commit to something that is beneficial you can reap many rewards.
  2. If you can commit to this challenge, you will improve in 365 ways in one measly year. Normally you might only improve in 30 ways maximum, sometimes not even that. Just imagine improving in 365 different ways! How much better would your life be after that!
  3. You will be happier, you will be better at communication, you will have more friends, you will be earning more money, you will be smarter, you will be funnier, you will have everything you could have dreamed of and more.
  4. Once you master commitment, you will be ahead of more than 99.9% of the human population.

How To Be Committed;
  • I want you right now to grab a piece of paper and a pen. On the paper write down “I promise to commit 100% to The 365 Day Challenge”. Now stick this paper where you’ll see it the most. On your computer screen, on the bathroom mirror, on the fridge, anywhere!
  • The second and most important way is to gain leverage. Leverage being a tool that will keep you on task. An easy way to gain leverage is by telling your friends, family and partners to keep you on track. This means you tell them the goal for each day and they will make sure that you follow through. It also means that if you fail to stay committed, you will not only fail yourself but fail your friends, family and partners. A great example of this would be the reason why anyone who is serious about exercising will have a personal trainer. This is because the trainer will give them leverage.
  • Take it a day at a time.
  • Join in! Comment with your progress on all of the posts. This means that you will be more involved and have a higher chance of following through with your goals and commitments.
  • Have fun!
  • Another even better way to stay committed is to get your freinds, family and partners involved themselves. Tell them about it and get them to do this experience with you.
  • Focus on what pleasure and benefits you will get everyday when you complete each goal. Also focus on the pain you will experience if you let yourself down and don’t complete the goal. This should push you to stick with anything.

Have a routine, for example, every morning, check the blog for the new post. Then you can plan how you are going to achieve the goal. If you put something that you want to be committed to into your routine, it will be automatic. You won’t even have to think twice about it.

Compliment yourself every step of the way. Every step you take towards completing a goal, congratulate yourself!

What I Am Going To Do;

I just wrote my promise note on a piece of paper and stuck it to the side of my computer monitor. Now I’m going to tell my friends and my girlfriend what I’m doing. Then I’m going to get the ones that want to participate to join me, so everyday we can talk about how we are going to achieve each goal and help each other out. On top of this I will create a routine, which is to wake up early in the morning and read what the goal is for the day. That gives me the whole morning to plan out what I need to do. Oh and I’ll be congratulating myself every step of the way!

This post is going to be the longest post I’ll ever do, don’t worry! I am looking forward to seeing where tomorrow will take us! Hopefully you have some friends on board to spur you on. If they are going to take the challenge themselves then that is awesome, you can all push each other! See you tomorrow for our next installment!

    Love your post!! and I thank you for it!
    somehow it brings me back to this morning when my dog and I where wolking on the beach and I just started to say good morning to literally everybody that was in a 2 meters ray from me, than I started to say good mornig with a smile on my face and like magic people smiled me back more and more and VOILA' the sky enlighted with all those smiles, somehow my day started great and hopefully their day too!
    even Ruby (the dog) seamed to feel the happiness on that beach!
