Could you let go of delaying your happiness?

Quite often when people set a goal they think, "I'll be happy when I ______"

But does delaying your happiness make you reach your goals faster?

If that does, then kudos to you! If it doesn't, you may want to try something different! I'm sure for many of you, delaying your happiness just creates more stress.

It's like, "I can't be happy until I reach my goal" which means you're not happy now. And since we only live in the present moment, you're choosing to not be happy!

But what if you can feel happy now AND reach your goal?

IMPORTANT QUESTION: What choices could you make today to be or feel the best?

Because when you're being or feeling your best, you're happy

If you took action while feeling happy, wouldn't this make it MUCH easier to achieve your goals?

And sometimes being your best may mean to stop working so hard. It may mean to take a break, call up a friend, or whatever it is that makes you feel the absolute best.

So if you're only working hard, then perhaps it's time to find more efficient ways to get stuff done, and I can tell you right now that happiness works. Consider watching these videos:

Kind of like happiness is a state of being, not a destination. Thanks.

One could actually be "happy" about delaying.

Like parents who strive to save for their kid's
college funds, or work two jobs to pay bills.

Happiness is a state of mind and does not need to
      be delayed.

On the other hand, I think I am saying exactly the
same as you. Letting go of your future happiness can
      lead to happiness now.

I have heard many big business people quoted as saying
that the happiness is in the chase, not the end.

Wasn't it Alexander the Great that broke down at the
age of 30 because he had no more worlds to conquer?

      Interesting post, to be sure.
