Why does everything has to be "fast", "now" and "instant"? Every other topic has those words in the topic and it's starting to freak me out.

Are people really that stupid? Do they really believe they can achieve the promised goals within hours or days? What's wrong working several months (or years) to achieve your goals?

Nothing on these forums will make people thousands of dollars in a short period of time. Bet a lot of people give up when they don't see results within the first couple of weeks (probably days).

Wish people would stop making false promises and actually tell people how much they need to work to achieve their goals - nothing comes easy.

There's nothing instant about running a business. Of course, some people get lucky and make tons of money over a short period of time. However, I think a lot of people starting out online expect this to be the case. It definitely isn't. It takes a lot of training, planning, and preparation to run a successful internet business. Not to mention building a good team. Success is possible for everyone, but there's a lot of work and planning involved to get there. I've learned this the hard way because I also fell into the hype that riches can come over night. NO SUCH THING!

You got it right! There are bunch of scams everywhere patronizing false promises. People should be aware of it. Nothing comes instantly except winning in a lottery.

The old maxim..."if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is" is usually accurate. Our brains were given to us to siphon out the garbage. If we don't, we pay by wasting our time and our money.

I think it was MJ DeMarco in Millionaire Fastlane that said success is always a process and not an event.

However, it's human nature to want instant gratification. It's a lot easier to pay for an ebook or pickup the phone and order a training course than it is to actually follow a process and put in the hard work.

A lot of people will buy ebooks, training courses etc and not even use them. It's a sad fact but very true.

Instant results do not always equate to longevity in success either. Typically the success is very short-lived, leaving you at ground zero again.

But any successful business will take time, and lots of good old fashioned hard work sprinkled with integrity, persistence, dedication, and patience is the reality. Of course we all want to see instant results, but if anyone preaches that with their program, I feel I'd be better off going out to buy a lottery ticket.

This attitude – common though it is – often leads to a cynicism that negates the possibility of spiritual growth and true abundance.

      Wide,

To give a different perspective to your question, I don't think that everyone believes that everything has to be fast, now and instant.

I believe the headlines with those attributes in them are more prevalent, because the peddlers that push them want them to be upfront and in your face for three reasons.

They are looking to prey upon those that don't know better or are fishing for those who are desperate and are hoping that if you read those promises enough, you may come to believe them, sort of like subliminal suggestion, but not quite so subliminal.

However, successful and wise people know that slow and steady wins the race and aren't swayed at all by that type of hype. They understand that their business won't fail and the world won't come crashing down around them if something isn't done instantly, fast or right now.

    People want that Easy button.

When I joined this forum, I told my wife:

    * you're going to lose me for evenings for a couple months

    * I'm not even going to try and make any money for 3 months.

Why? I needed to develop credibility.

    And then it worked.

PS I got a lot of "what a waste of time this is" from the wife...until January.

Hi, wrong attitude is the worst character any one can live. it will demote your personality, it create inferiority complex in you, it can make you loose connection from people. infact wrong attitude will make people to be running out from you.

Well because the FAST, NOW and INSTANT stuff is just ...sexy.

It's what sells. It's what most people want and how many marketers will ALWAYS cash in on those emotions.

Thankfully, not all people think that way.
