Do you know what is possible?

Do you live your days with possibilities? What does that “mean”, you ask?

Well, essentially, incorporating “possibilities” in your daily interactions with clients, coworkers, friends will enable you to live into and determine what is possible, without making assumptions or pre-determining the outcome.

In the workplace: “Bob, is it possible that you can exceed your goals from last month?” This statement is not an expectation, yet an opening for conversation to determine a conclusion. “Yes, Bob, I do believe that if we motivate our team members, we can exceed our goals”

With your children: “Johnny, is it possible that you can do your homework before I get home?” This puts the ownership and accountability to Johnny – you are not dictating or demanding, yet determining the probability and engaging conversation. “Mom, I don’t think that is possible, because I have band practice after school today”

In your relationships: “Sweetie, is it possible that you can put the dirty clothes in the hamper?” Again, there may be a PERFECTLY GOOD reason why he/she can or cannot do this, but by opening the question with what is possible, you may engage healthy conversation. “Honey, I would be able to do this if you put the hamper in a place that I can toss clothes into it easily….can we move the clothes bin over here, instead?”

I challenge each of you to consider this and incorporate POSSIBILITIES into your day ! I would love to hear the success stories of this !!
