On a personally level...

I ALWAYS aspire to make sure that each and every client I work with applies the same objective of HELPING people with their product or service...

...rather than just trying to make a buck.

Because that's what opens the door for the ideas, creative flow and effortless execution that allows prosperity to come through the portal of their online business.

Of course...

I believe it's everyone's Natural State to be abundant, on every level...

...so from that perspective, WHY NOT give (as much as you're inspired to) and help people realize their highest potential?

Awesome post..and much needed! I feel, especially with online/offline marketing, it's very easy to get sucked into the WIIFM (what's in it for me?) mentality. When you make that shift and focus on how you can help others..opportunities and positive things just start to fall into place.

I saw this same shift with my own offline marketing business..when helping clients is put before making money..there's an alignment b/w your soul + business and life just gets easier.

A top businessman and one of the wealthiest had a saying any time he was ask his "secret" to success it goes like this "If you give enough people what they want, you'll get what you do."

Now who can answer who he was/is?

This is a contradiction in terms which could reflect badly upon you.

Whilst I appreciate your first intention, to praise my good copywriting friend Mark Pescetti - this 2nd to last paragraph from the bottom of your post smacks of self promotion of your signature link.

You need to read the rules my friend about self promotion on this forum.

You do not make such obvious references to your signature link especially in light of what you're trying to convey. In doing so, this is a complete and utter contradiction in terms as aforementioned.

If you think about it, the most successful business will always be the one that enables the most people to solve an important problem at a price they are willing to pay using your product or service at a cost lower than your overall cost to provide.

So helping people is always good business. First focus on delivering value and there will almost always be someway to monetize it later on. This was the lesson that the early internet companies taught us, whether it was giving away software and later charging for upgrades or service - or providing a product or service for free and finding other means of income, like facebook.

I totally agree with the "help others first and foremost" philosophy. However, I think it should be noted, especially when dealing with the online marketing world, that others won't always understand HOW you are trying to help them.

I think one of the most difficult things for a marketer to get across to potential customers is how their product, system, software, etc. will make their life easier/make them money without it coming across like a sales pitch that's simply about one individual making money.

It's a skill we can all do well to develop further.

hmmm...sounds like something I read in the bible once..

I was inspired to dive more into this whole subject...

I KNOW if more marketers truly get that when you sincerely help YOUR AUDIENCE with your product or service...

...the more money you'll make...

...and the more you'll continue being able to help on an even bigger level...
