What are you deeply passionate about?

I think passion is born from your purpose. If you can work on something for hours on end and the only reward is the reward of actually doing the activity itself, then you'll feel as if you're in flow. If you haven't read 'Flow' which is a book by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, then I'd encourage you to read it. It reveals that we are always in a state of either flow or ebb in our lives. When we are in flow, time seems to pass quickly and when we're in ebb time passes really slowly. When you're doing something you're really passionate about, then it doesn't feel like effort at all.

Persistence is something that comes totally naturally if you're passionate about what you're doing with an all consuming obsession and burning desire. Persistence often sounds tough for most people, however it's merely discipline in action. Discipline is easy when it's born from passion and is definitely a trait you should embrace.

Find out what you're passionate about. This is often where you invest a lot of your time, energy and thoughts. It doesn't feel like a "waste" of time when you're doing it.

    Yes Steve Jobs once said...

"People say you have to have a lot of passion for what you’re doing and it’s totally true. And the reason is because it’s so hard that if you don’t, any rational person would give up. It’s really hard. And you have to do it over a sustained period of time. So if you don’t love it, if you’re not having fun doing it, you don’t really love it, you’re going to give up. And that’s what happens to most people, actually. If you really look at the ones that ended up being “successful” in the eyes of the society and the ones that didn’t, oftentimes it’s the ones [who] were successful loved what they did, so they could persevere when it got really tough. And the ones that didn’t love it quit because they’re sane, right? Who would want to put up with this stuff if you don’t love it? So it’s a lot of hard work and it’s a lot of worrying constantly and if you don’t love it, you’re going to fail."- Steve Jobs

many people make money with most of their time and cram passion into an hour or two every week or so ..

It is part of my rant that i find people should first find their success then just get better each day.. it makes the money factor secondary ..

be as passion driven as possible every day and make the money you need to support the passion driven life you have .. in the end you will probably make more money ..than those who seek wealth then passion ..as it is much easier to spend 60 80 or 100 hours in a week doing something youe really passionate about .

True, to be persistent you need to form a habit repeating the same process day in day out for weeks at a go is only possible if you are having fun.
