The Dream of Home Ownership
Ahhhh - the dream of homeownership! As I look back 15 years ago when I was about to buy my first home as a single woman with a corporate job with minimal income, I recall my Dad saying "you really should buy a condo". My immediate reply was "No way !! I want to lay on my hammock, listen to music through outdoor speakers and toss a ball to my dog". Of course, when I said that, I had no speakers, no hammock and no dog - but it was a dream!
Flash forward a year or so - I got the dog, bought the hammock and I had a source to listen to music outside and I almost vividly recall the moment where I was laying on that hammock, listening to most-likely a Dave Matthews mellow tune tossing a ball to my dog, Luckie, and actually realizing what I said I wanted is what I have RIGHT NOW ..... so, for that brief moment life was good and simple and a dream was realized!
Flash forward a decade or so, and although the music is the same (still love Dave Matthews, but the music is now "the early Dave"), the hammock is used/worn and needs to be replaced; the dog has aged and would rather sleep than catch a tossing ball......and the homeowner, well she has aged as well......life is not as simple as it was back then, but for the rest of my life, I will take that memory with me - that a dream, a vision, a goal of what was "to come" had in fact realized, and what more can anyone ask for??
I hope this minor little snippet of my life gives SOMEBODY the belief in stating CLEARLY what you want and letting the WORLD know about it.....so, you also can someday say "I remember back in 2012, I responded to an internet forum about a woman with a dream that realized exactly how she asked for it, and I responded stated specifically how MY dream would look - and it realized as well! I think I'll post about it...."
And the cycle continues....
