How is money a blessing in your life?

This simple question can do wonders with the way you relate to money.

There is a large number of people who literally resent money, as if they are a slave to it (i.e. "I can't do X without money"). And so they often feel like a victim or they feel burdened, but if you focused your attention on how money is a blessing, you will relate to it in a much lighter way.

This will impact the way you do business and how you spend it.

So, how is money a blessing in your life?

Money is a blessing in my life in that it allows me to buy things like food, shelter, clothing, water, and social activities with those that I care about.

Money is a blessing in that it gives more me more options and freedom.

Lack of money = chained to bills, only being able to buy cheap/discounted stuff

Abundance of money = no more worrying over bills, and can buy nicer things, enjoy a higher quality life.

        Something to think about:

How is the lack of money a blessing?

What do you learn from it? What does it teach you about yourself?

What does it motivate you to do instead?

How is it that bills are a blessing?

If you think about it, bills suggest the companies trust you enough to pay them a month after you use their service, something to think about!!

Imagine what it would be like if you had to pay bills up front! With this awareness could you be grateful for your bills?

  • Money is a leverage for me to accomplish the things I need to do in my life.
It's more or less a tool, or resource, whichever way you look at it, in order to accomplish what you want.

Remember, its not really the money we want - deep down its what we wanna do with the cash is what we're after. Besides, money by itself is useless without the motive.

It's been a blessing in my life because it's allowed me to help build and create the world that I am trying to shape for my people. The more money I make, the more value I can build for the industry I'm in. I also get to have a lifestyle that is in line with my values and my vision.

Money is great. Although it's not the end-all, be-all. It's definitely a platform to catapult you to your ideals.

Most people measure their self-worth by their bank account. The bigger it is, the better they feel about themselves. Because we put so much energy into earning money, it represents the very energy of life as we see it.

Money is a result of effort.

Honestly, it gives me the opportunity to help others who don't have much of it.
I used to be one of those who resented money..lol..but seeing how the absence of it affects people..well I changed my mind.

Even though it's just a paper, it is very powerful. It decides life or death for some people. So for me money is a medium through which I can attempt to help the less fortunate.

Actually the bible does NOT say that. Here's what it really says:

For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. (1 Timothy 6:10)
The phrase 'love of money' in the Greek literally means greed or avarice. You can see it for yourself.

I share this because many people believe that having money is bad or desiring wealth is somehow evil. The problem is greed which is really an indication of lack and therefore an expression of poverty consciousness.

      I hope this makes sense.

So many people misinterpret this, and I thank you for helping them out. I have done the same with people who have misquoted this scripture in my life. They mean well, but simply are not seeing the big picture.

Some people feel that they and they alone are responsible for their success, that their intelligence and abilities made it so. This is the serious challenge of wealth: to not be deceived by your own ego but to remember that it is G-d who gives us the power to become prosperous.

Money is all about perception and priority.

If you chase money you'll never get money. You should see money as a product, a reward for your previous efforts.

Money should never be the primary target, because you'll never ever get enough of it.

Your focus should be in producing substantial results that tie more and more into your overall success and brand.

Your brand and level of authority mostly determines how successful you will be.

Money is a blessing. With it I can do a LOT of things I
normally couldn't do without it - for example:

#1. Spending Quality Time With Family And Relatives -

Quite frankly, I've been spending more time with family
    BECAUSE of money. How?

Some argue you need very little. I say bulls**t. If you
can make lots of it -- make it.

You NEED money to go from point where you are to a
cousin, uncle, mother, father or best friend. It's called
    GAS.

If your transportation breaks down you need money to
FIX the problem (either by yourself or professionally).

You need to take care of YOUR well-being before you
can truly relax and enjoy the company of loved ones.

#2. Traveling - Not everyone's into traveling. For me,
I don't want to have to wonder where my next meal is
going to come from or how I'm going to afford a plane
or train ticket from one place to another.

Traveling BECOMES a LOT more fun when you're mind
is free on how your going to pay your bills.

Can you get around with no cash? Sure. You can make
life harder on yourself. But why?

#3. Freedom - Money IS freedom in society.

The more of it you have the more *liquid* you can be.

I can EAT whatever food I want to live a healthy life-
style. I can GIVE freely to whomever I want for sheer
    pleasure.

Heck, two weeks ago I was able to help a brother who
was going to be forced to park his car for two weeks (
his major form of transportation) because his insurance
    was due.

After turning to everyone else with money problems...
his final resort was coming to me -- and just like that I
had the resources and ability to fix his problem...

    instantly.

There was no *Gee, let me see what I can do...*. It's
    as simple as "Sure".

Being able to help family in that way IS a blessing and
it shows how powerful and influencial money can have
on peoples lives fir better or worse.

That's the blessing I see in it anyway...

You know, money is a tool. How you use that tool is how blessings are provided. Just having money is not a blessing. I know people who have a lot of money and they are miserable. In fact, people that don't understand money will end up using it to destroy themselves.

Look at some of the people that have won lotteries. Many of them have destroyed themselves because they don't understand money itself. They only know what society has told them, that if they have money they'll be better off. That is such crap.

Money is a tool. It should be used to understand more about that tool, how to use it to get better tools, and how to use it to help others. This is where the blessing resides.

Some people rate money up there with oxygen, water and food. Although you can't live without oxygen, water, and food, you could live without money. It might be difficult, but it simply proves it shouldn't be the center of a person’s life, or considered a blessing just because you have it.

    Just a thought,

    Stephen

I too used to be conflicted thinking that wanting wealth was somehow contrary to "Christian" beliefs. I now believe that the accumulation of wealth for the sole purpose of accumulating goes against most higher principles. Every dollar that I earn and spend ultimately helps someone else, so I focus on building wealth and circulating an appropriate portion to help others earn.

Yeah, money is definitely a fun thing to be earning...on the other hand: a few years ago I was struggling to make ends meet and quite literally wasn't sure each day whether or not I could afford a meal. Oddly enough, this was one of the happiest times of my life. The reason was that, without money, I was forced to fight for the basic necessities of life (food and water). Consequently, I came to appreciate those basics for how important they really are.

I also spent a few years living in South America. I visited the jungle a couple of times and had the privilege of making contact with the people that live there. Needless to say, those people did not have a lot of money. Their concerns were to survive. And yet, these people seemed very content with their lives.

So my point is: yeah, money is great, but it doesn't make you happy if you don't appreciate what you already have. It doesn't make you happy if you're unaware of how lucky you are to have what you have without money (i.e. air to breathe, sunshine to feel, etc.). Philosophy/psychology has long established a hierarchy of needs (Maslow's hierarchy of needs - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia), starting from the very basic (survival) to the highest level of self actualization.
I feel I'm blessed to have known a period in my life where I was forced to focus on my survival. It taught me money itself does not make you happy.

I think realising this makes the difference between money being your burden or your blessing.

Money does not guarantee success in life but gives all the necessary things that you need to achieve that success.
